Spiritual Principle:

Matthew 5:18 (NKJV)

For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no
means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

Objective:

Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding and be able to apply the understanding of
technology systems by using them in various disciplines.

Suggested Activities and Experiences:

1. Students are given a technology use survey. Students form into groups of four and discuss the
results of the survey with the group. When they are finished they will type journal entry on what
surprised them about the results of the survey.

2. Watch video clip Nature of Technology. Students then students go through PowerPoint
presentation, what is Technology? They fill out question a premade notes template provided by
teacher while viewing presentations.

Students apply digital tools to gather, evaluate, and use information.
Evaluate and select information sources and digital tools based on the appropriateness to
specific tasks

Spiritual Principle:

Matthew 9:37 (NKJV)

handout as they can. Explain that using these abbreviations should only be done in informal
messages, and never formal messages. Have students journal a list of times it is appropriate and
times it is not appropriate to use abbreviations.

2. Have students write an email to one of these three scenarios.
Your best friend and your grandmother (or another adult family member) wants to know
what you thought of the movie (or television show) that you saw last weekend. Both are
considering going to see the show (or watching a rerun of it) tonight, and they want to
know if you recommend it for them and why.

You missed class yesterday because of a field trip or sporting event at another school.
Now you need to find out what you missed. Write to a friend from the class and to your
teacher to find out what happened and what you need to do to catch up.

You're looking for a reference book to help you with a paper or a project that you're
working on. A friend had a great book that might help, but you're not sure if it covers the
topic you're studying. You need to find out two things: whether the friend's book will
help, and if there are any other resources that you might look at as you work on your
paper. Write a message to your friend and the school librarian asking for suggestions. Be

sure to explain what you're researching so that your readers will know what books to
suggest.

3. Students can choose what tool they are going to use to create a timeline of their life. They
then create a timeline of their life.
