took sessions with the students teacher and showed the simple yet creative techniques of art.
Ashwani opened his session with some typefaces. He described, for instance, that how old script types
were used for extended text in the past but are no longer used now.

Ashwani then designed some of the typefaces in the class. He prepared different versions with a change
in weight of just a few percent. He showed examples of using different weights based on the type of
brush used) or the amount of page space allocated to illustrations.
Overall Ashwani puts emphasis on suitability for horizontal strokes, by intentionally making the
horizontal strokes align flatly while letting the vertical strokes flow freely and creating new styles.

Ashwani also showed how to make sketches and the power of using the brush flawlessly. He talked
about the design elements that were part of his design concept - (1) weight, (2) waist position, (3)
counter space, (4) appearance and characteristics of elements, (5) line quality, and (6) expression. In
light of this, he explained, while offering many examples, the points that need to be considered in
designing sketches and focusing on the design elements mentioned above.
With its logical progression and many examples, Ashwani presentation was full of insights and had much
to offer. In the end he concluded by saying that creativity has no limit and has no definition. It is
something that is very spontaneous; can come at any time, to anybody.

Lastly, Ashwani kept the whole group very enthusiastic and the session was full of humour to sustain the
interest of the group. Overall the session was very helpful and gave a lot of learning experience.
