The real hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear

to be most normal. Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to
our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in
their lives that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the
neurotic does. They are normal not in what may be called the absolute sense of t
he word; they are normal only in relation to a profoundly abnormal society. Thei
r perfect adjustment to that abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickn
ess. These millions of abnormally normal people, living without fuss in a societ
y to which, if they were fully human beings, they ought not to be adjusted. Aldou

Terminus is also the title of the final poem ever composed by Ralph Waldo Emerso
n. The poem focuses on a conversation between the author and the god Terminus, d
iscussing the author's forthcoming death. The message of the poem is to resist fea
r and prepare for death. The destination is worth the journey.
As the bird trims her to the gale,
I trim myself to the storm of time,
I man the rudder, reef the sail,
Obey the voice at eve obeyed at prime:
Lowly faithful, banish fear,
Right onward drive unharmed;
The port, well worth the cruise, is near,
And every wave is charmed.
Life improves slowly and goes wrong fast, and only catastrophe is clearly visibl
e.
Edward Teller
We live together, we act on, and react to, one another; but always and in all cir
cumstances we are by ourselves. The martyrs go hand in hand into the arena; they
are crucified alone. By its very nature every embodied spirit is doomed to suff
er and enjoy in solitude. Sensations, feelings, insights, fanciesall these are pr
ivate and, except through symbols and at second hand, incommunicable. We can poo
l information about experiences, but never the experiences themselves. From fami
ly to nation, every human group is a society of island universes. ? Aldous Huxley
Doors of Perception
"As always election campaigns are staged as an entertainment, a diversion for th
e people; they are permitted to think and act as if they are really making their
own government, but it is always the Jews that win. And if after having elected
their man or group, obedience is not rendered to the Jewish control, then you s
peedily hear of "scandals and investigations and impeachments for the removal of the
disobedient"
Henry Ford, The International Jew
