LOON TAO otherwise known as Waves
of Prosperity is true to the theme of the Specialty
Chinese Seafood Restaurant located in world famous
Mount Lavinia Beach not too distant from the Ocean
Wave, Sri Lanka. Right from listening to the magical
sounds of ocean waves to touching your feet on the
Golden Sandy Beach, this restaurant gives a
complete experience. This compliments the
magnificent Tropical Hut structure that is an open
plan to give everyone a glimpse of the ocean at
close rang. The Master Chef, Ye Zhou from China is
a Seafood Specialist blessed with enormous
experience behind him and serves Cantonese, Schezuwan, Peking and Shanghai
Cuisine at its best! Master Chef Ye Zhou is assisted by Sous Chef Wong Qing from
Beijing and Dim Sum Chef Shen Huizhu from Shanghai. The Bali style enclosure on
the world famous sand beaches of Mt Lavinia adds to the romance while the sounds
of the waves, the star spangled skies and the Crustacean delights are a purely
magical experience.

The Restaurateur has a decade
experience in the restaurant field with
much exposure gained in the Far East.
He has been running restaurants in
mega cities such as Tokyo, Yokohama,
Osaka etc; to compliment the
Restaurateur the Master Chef Ye Zhou has almost two decades of experience in his
homeland China as well as Overseas satisfying thousands of casual and Gourmet
Guests over the years. Hailing from Shanghai, he is versatile with unique techniques
and has mastered the art of Cantonese, Schezuwan, Peking and Shanghai cuisine.
He excels in both forms of Seafood be it Chinese or Beach Barbeque. The Assistant
Chef as well as other Senior Cooks and staff have been hand picked to ensure to
they give you the best Chinese Seafood experience ever! Their experience varies
from Casual to Fine Dining.

At LOON TAO every dish must have three
major criteria appearance, fragrance and
flavor. The other considerations are
texture, the health giving properties of
the food and its auspicious connotations.
This purpose in mind all our sea food,
meat and vegetable, are purchased daily
to ensure freshness and taste.
Transformation and interplay of these
basics when combined with different
seasonings, allows for the endless variety.

Master Chef Ye Zhou presenting you an
excellent array of Chinese Seafood. He
has taken every effort to carefully prepare
the recipes and the alike to make it mouthwatering just for you. We make every
effort to source organic vegetables thus giving you a healthy gastronomical
experience. Most importantly we only use ingredients hand picked and imported
direct from China.

Loon Tao
Originally from Colombo, Loon Tao was the idea of Janaka Wimalananda,
who is also the Managing Director of the company. It all began in 2008. He
thought of combining Chinese cuisine with seafood. The concept-based
restaurant with architecture inspired from Bali has finest master chefs
specialising in seafood from China. Owing to its huge success in the
domestic market, the brand was inspired to expand its presence beyond
the country's borders. It has opted for direct franchise model based on its
winning format and internal systems and procedures.
Loon Tao will be targeting tier-I and II cities in India. Sharing the ROI of the
brand, Wimalananda says: It's a fact that the pay-back period is less than
three years. This is high growth high profit business. No risk is involved, as
it's a tested business model, combined with a successful formula. The
capital outlay for Loon Tao franchise is between INR 1.5 and 1.8 crore and
area needed is about 3,000 5,000 sq.ft. The brand offers fine dining format
