a) Such oral test is not reliable. 't doesn!t test the students at all since they are
gien time to prepare themseles with free topics of their own choice. 't
doesn!t sere the purpose of a real speaking test.
%
b) %he traditional oral test! done earlier in ,--.!s +and before) is still better
where students were tested by other examiners, where /uestions were
unpredictable, and where surial was as important as the language.
c) Students do not take the 01$S seriously. Marks are from their own teachers2
and of course teachers wouldn!t fail their own students especially when these
students are good! ones. %eachers may be influenced by the students!
personalities. 't!s better if the examiners do not know the students at all.
d) 'f the 01$S is important, then it should be highlighted as 'M345%6(%. 't is
impossible to test students while we!re forced to teach at the same time.
+%hat!s why students neer take 01$S seriously because the situation is neer
serious).
e) 'n other words2 )ust go back to ,--.!s method for more /uality #nglish spoken
