STATE COORDINATOR, RECLAMATION

Special Knowledge/Skills
In-depth knowledge of current inactive Sorors in the State
Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills
Ability to plan, format and execute projects and duties in an accurate and timely manner
Project and team management skills
Possess a pleasing personality and the ability to secure information from appropriate sources

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Serve as the Coordinator of Reclamation
2. Coordinate an aggressive plan of action to bring sorors home to Zeta
3. Develop a procedure for chapters/states to reclaim sorors with timetable and metrics
4. Prepare a report, including recommendations for improving reclamation initiatives
5. Work in conjunction with the Regional Reclamation Coordinator



STATE COORDINATOR, YOUTH AFFILIATES

Special Knowledge/Skills
In-depth knowledge of current Zeta Youth Auxiliary programming

Major Responsibilities and Duties
1. Serve as the State representative, coordinator, and spokesperson for the Zeta Youth Auxiliaries
Program
2. Monitor the State programming of Youth auxiliaries
3. Coordinate the development of procedures and practices to standardize programming and operations
of Youth auxiliaries across the State
4. Facilitate the development of Youth training workshops and materials
5. Develop strategic planning to facilitate the development of long-term planning of Youth programming
6. Work in conjunction with the Regional Director of Youth Affiliates

STATE HISTORIAN

Special Knowledge/Skills
Superior knowledge of the history of the organization

Organizational skills; ability to follow-thru on a project from inception to completion; perform under tight
schedules
Sound knowledge of computer technologies and the internet a plus

Major Responsibilities and Duties
1. Serve as the historian of the State whose task is to prepare a narrative account of the States activities
from inception through her term of office, which, when approved by the State Director and the State
Executive Board, will become a part of the States official history. All accounts are the property of the
State of NJ of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
2. Review the history of the State
3. Maintain a library system as a repository for reference articles, research materials, and printed
documents
4. Develop a system to facilitate the timely identification of printed document needs and receipt of content
from coordinators of programs, projects, and special events
5. Work with public relations, program/project coordinators, and other personnel to determine
themes/highpoints for the publication and gather materials
6. Secure graphic materials and facilitate development of illustrations
7. Chair a committee of members with appropriate skills/abilities to ensure the history is thorough and
complete
8. Secure interviews/information, conduct research, and verify facts
9. Organize material, plan page layouts, and select printing specifications
10. Review final proofs and coordinate approval for print
11. Supply information to the National or Regional Historian as needed




STATE SCHOLARSHIP CO-COORDINATOR

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Work with and assist the State Scholarship Coordinator
2. Co-create a plan of action for the approval of the State Director as to the timetable for communications
and selection process for scholarships
3. Communicate with recipients and ensure their presence for receipt
4. Facilitate recipients receipt of scholarship by working with the State Director, State Scholarship
Coordinator and the State Tamias
5. Track recipients
6. Satisfy any reporting requirements

STATE WEB TEAM MEMBER

Major Responsibilities and Duties: Assists the State Web mistress as she:
1. Collaborates with the State Director on developing communications for the States Website
2. General oversight of content development and update of the State Website in conjunction with the
Social Media Coordinator
3. Maintain and monitor public source materials for items of interest to Zeta Phi Beta, including social
media portals to ensure protection of Zeta Phi Betas brand














CHAIRMAN OF THE UNDERGRADUATE COUNCIL

STATE COORDINATOR, ELDER CARE

Special Knowledge/Skills

Effective presentation skills
Program development experience, including visionary with strategic planning ability

Major Responsibilities / Duties
1. Create a committee to assist and support New Jersey State Chapters in their implementation of elder
care programs.
2. Schedule quarterly conference calls with elder care coordinators from each chapter.
3. Organize an elder care breakfast in the beginning of the sorority year for the purpose of sharing ideas
and programs with all chapter coordinators.
4. Form relationships with political and legislative officials who are dedicated to the care and welfare of
the aging in New Jersey State.
5. Create a list serve for the NJ State Elder Care Coordinators.
6. Create/maintain a contact list of key people/organizations working on different issues as it relates to
Elder Care.
7. Create/maintain a listing of inactive sorority members over the age of 60 in order to keep in contact
and work with them to bring them back into the fold.
8. Create an annual report and include photos and information from all NJ Elder Care programs which
shall be submitted to the NJ Director.
9. Develop relationships with local blogs and newspapers for advertisement of programs for the elderly.
10. Develop a calendar of elder care events and distribute to all chapters within the state.
11. Collaborate with the NJ Z-Hope Coordinator to create a competition for both undergraduate and
graduate chapters as it relates to Elder Care programs and
12. programs and reward the top undergraduate and graduate chapters who have implemented the most
elder care programs.




STATE COORDINATOR, UNDERGRADUATES

4. Establish standard operating practices/procedures for State Undergraduate Advisors
5. Develop a report to present to the State Coordinator for presentation to State Executive Board
6. Serve as the liaison between the State Director and the Undergraduates
7. Works with the Chairman of the Undergraduate Council

STATE COORDINATOR, REDEDICATION AND NECROLOGY

management of all levels of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Major Responsibilities and Duties
1. Plan and implement all aspects Rededication and Necrology rituals for each State Conference
2. Work with the State Protocol Coordinator and Chapter Protocol Coordinators to assist with Zeta
Burial Service
