As t&e construction is ongoing and #ost o( t&e deep cuts are co#plete t&e i#pact &as alread
ta.en place. @&ere t&ere are co#plaints about t&e reduction o( ground,ater levels in t&e
,ells are #onitored to (ind suc& i#pacts &ave ta.en place. PI> o( t&e RDA &as started suc& a

To #itigate t&e i#pacts an ade<uate nu#ber o( crossings over t&e lo, ling area s&ould be
provided. It is understood t&at in t&e ICinal Design Report Cebruar 3441J t&e return period
used (or all t&e culvert structures in t&e relevant area is 36 ears. 7ecause o( t&e #agnitude o(
t&e (looding proble#s and t&e anticipated i#pact it is proposed to increase t&e return period
(or t&e #ain -unu,il "la crossing to 64 ears. T&e overall ade<uac o( t&e #ain -unu,ila
culverts and its entourage culverts s&ould be best decided t&roug& &draulic studies ta.ing
into account t&e (lood plane areas. @&en t&e return period (or t&e #ain -unu,ila "la culverts
