Around the Club
Will Barrett in front of the 19th hole (and the gorgeous clubhouse) at Pine
Canyon in Flagstaff. And, yes there is an extra hole, a par three to return to the
clubhouse! We just returned from four glorious days in Flagstaff, where
we played three times at Pine Canyon! Ginny Barrett.

Gallery Member Dave Charnock and playing
partner Adrian Vagberg, won the Osterlens Golf
Clubs Foursomes Championship last Saturday.
They shot 72-75, all 36 hole played in one day,
walking only. A very nice way to spend a sunny
day in southern Sweden while visiting his wife
Annas family.
Well done Mr. Charnock!

The First Annual Rev Baker Air Force am was held on
September 15, 2013, bringing together friends, family,
and members of the community to beneft a worthy
cause and give back to those that selfessly serve our
great nation. Due to the generocity of all of you, we
were able to raise over $5,000 to beneft the Folds of
Honor Foundation, which is a patriotic charity that
supports fallen service men/women and their families.

The Gallery Golf Club is proud to be hosting the Second Annual Rev Baker Air Force
Am, hoping to at least double our donation from last year! Proceeds from this years event
will beneft the Lone Survivor Foundation, which serves to support our nations warriors
and their families. Please visit the Lone Survivor Foundation website for more information
on the foundation www.lonesurvivorfoundation.org. Please support this wonderful event!

Glen Thomas Griffth
Hometown Seattle, Washington
Experience as Golf Instructor 23 years
Following a successful career as a junior golfer,
Glen attended college at the University of
Montana, graduating in 1992 with a Business
Management degree. At 20 years old, he frst
taught golf as a Teachers Assistant for a golf class
offered at the University of Montana. Through
coaching beginner golf classes, he discovered the
desire to create learning the game from a simple
foundation. He noticed students struggling with the mechanical process of teaching and
vowed to learn and coach a simple, effective method in learning the swing and short
game while playing the game of golf.
Joining the PGA of America in1993, he worked at facilities in Montana, Washington, and
Arizona on his way to attaining his Class A status in July, 1998. After determining his
focus in the golf industry was to be fully on coaching and playing the game
professionally, Glen created his own coaching business Tucson Golf Schools - in 2003
in Tucson, Arizona. Since that time, he has refned and simplifed his coaching approach
working with players of all ability levels. The ultimate goal is for players to enjoy the
game from a simple place, coach themselves, and experience the game of golf from each
individual players perspective (Fun, competitive, social, etc.).
In addition to his own goal of playing golf at the PGA Tour level, Glen is also proud to
have guided high school golfers to achieving scholarships in playing collegiate golf. He
promotes a well rounded approach to the game of golf through balance, foundational
mechanics, ftness, nutrition, game management, and a commitment to self awareness.

he is leading the way with this new feature as a beta tester.
Greetings from Columbus
One of the great advantages with Troon is the
wealth of resources that all of our facilities
have access, chief among them is our people.
We are very proud of the impact that The
Gallery continues to make to the Troon brand
as our leaders are called upon to help at other
properties. Recently, our Executive Chef, Brian
Steiner spent 3 weeks helping out the team at
Manchester CC in New Hampshire and cur-
rently our Director of Golf, Paul Nolen, is
flling in as the Interim General Manager at
Columbus Country Club in Columbus Ohio.
These are great experiences for our leaders and is a testament to the job we continue
to do here at home and how The Gallery has quickly become one of Troon Prides
premier properties.

PGA Golf Day
PGA Golf Day was established in 2009 by local PGA
Professionals to raise money for Special Olympics Arizona
and the SWSPGA Foundation.
I believe in the power and magic of Special Olympics. Sports and Special Olympic
athletes teach us every day about acceptance, community, and friendship. Furthermore,
as a Special Olympics volunteer, I have seen frst hand how golf impacts these athletes
building confdence and true enjoyment of the game!
