Relevant Professional Experience:
2013 Newcomb Secondary College (2 x Six Month Teaching Contracts)
I have had the opportunity to build my knowledge and skill base during my time
at Newcomb Secondary College, I have learned and improved upon many
student management techniques and how to work with other staff to
implement these. I have happily accepted the challenge of taking on an
unfamiliar subject and gained confidence in my abilities to provide a valuable
curriculum when needed.

2012 Bellarine Secondary College (Ocean Grove) (2 x Six Month Teaching Contracts)
Through my position as a teacher of Science and ICT I have had the opportunity
to implement a range of management and planning strategies to enable me to
deliver content at an effective, engaging level. I have learned what it means to
be an active member of a professional teaching team and I have seen the
importance of collaboration to best meet the needs of students.

2011 Lorne-Aireys Inlet P-12 (3 Week Teaching Experience)
Throughout this experience I was involved in a range of areas in the school
through planning and working with other teachers to deliver an interactive,
engaging and educational curriculum.

2011 Matthew Flinders Girls Secondary College (3 Week Teaching Experience)
This placement involved working with a group of fellow students to design and
implement a set of team taught lessons with year 9 classes.

2011 Apollo Bay P-12 (3 Week Teaching Experience)
My first placement saw me observing for one or two days and soon taking
around two lessons per day with years 7 through 12 in Science and VCE Biology.

Awards & Achievements:
2012 Golden Key Society
Awarded membership into the Golden Key Society which recognised my outstanding
academic achievement in my faculty (Secondary Education).

2008 Kokoda Trek (With Duke of Edinburgh Group)
A valuable experience that has helped shape me into the person I am today.

2001-2002 Surf Lifesaving Bronze Medallion / Surf Lifesaving Bronze Star and
the Duke of Edinburgh Award:
This is a school experience that I had the opportunity to partake in while I was a student, It
has shown me the benefit of such programs for secondary students.


Volunteer Activities:
2009-2011 Volunteer at QMDC (Queenscliff Discovery Centre) as a Guide
Involved in leading tours and conveying information to patrons as well as working in a retail department.

2008-2009 Assisted with the Merri Marine Sanctuary penguin monitoring
I was involved in physically counting penguins on the island and gained insight in working in a tight knit
team.

2001-2002 Surf Life Saver, Wye River Surf Lifesaving Club
Here I was involved in the supervision of a large number of visitors where I learned techniques in
controlling and monitoring large, varied groups, customer liaison and communication and OH&S
protocols.
