> 2 Xs i t e EASY, Xs i t e L I NK AND Xs i t e PRO T HE RI GHT SY ST EM F OR EVERY REQUI REMENT The use of the excavation systems of the Xsite line improves the quality of the end result and raises the efficiency of machine employment. With precise measurements and graphic display of all values on the control panel, the control systems considerably facilitate excavator operation and the vehicle operator can directly monitor all working processes. The systems make it possible to work precisely in accordance with presettings. This means that less personnel is needed on site. Manual final measurements and corrective work can be dispensed with. This saves time, material and fuel and ensures rapid and successful completion of the pro- ject. The systems consist of slope sensors, a display and a laser receiver. If 3D mode is used, the excavator is fitted with GNSS sen- sors instead of laser receivers. The 3D software processes the data from the sensors, the positioning , coordinates and project data. Benefits: Efficiency of machine employment increases Accelerates work processes Saves time, fuel and material Precise results, increased quality of work Measurement values are displayed on the panel in real-time Manual final measurements and corrective work can be dispensed with Improves safety on construction sites > 2 > 3 From EASY through LINK to PRO thanks to their modular design, the excavator control systems of the Xsite line can be easily upgraded at any time; the CAN bus sensors can be combined with any of the three sys- tems and can continue to be used after an upgrade. Besides costs for new sensors, this also saves time-consuming retrofitting work. The excavator system can thus be rapidly and flexibly adapted to the respective require- ments. Laser receivers If 2D mode is used, the laser beam generated by the transmitter serves as the reference level when determining the position. The laser receiver also compensates for height variations caused by the machine settling or getting 'bogged down'.
GNSS sensor With the inexpensive entry level 3D system, only one GNSS sensor is required. The machine's location and height are determined by satellite positioning. The system functions also make it possible to survey the terrain with the machine. Slope sensors Slope sensors on the bucket, boom and machine frame register all movements by the machine. The simple wiring facilitates rapid replacement of the bucket.

The system thus accelerates work processes and improves safety on site, as no personnel has to be present in the working range of the machine to monitor work. Xsite EASY is ideal for varied projects such as for digging trenches, canalisation, road works and dredging work. This 2D solution operates with slope sensors with which the position of the bucket can be precisely determined. With their robust design, all sensors are well suited for use under rough conditions or under water. System benefits: Inexpensive entry-level model Measures depth, range and incline Improves quality of work under conditions with restricted visibility Enables precision dredging under water Raises safety standard Easily extendable with additional sensors Xs i t e EASY T HE SI MPL E AND EF F I C I ENT WAY T O AC HI EVE T HE OPT I MUM RESUL T > 4 > 5 Excavation depth and range The system measures the current excavation depth and the horizontal range by zeroing the desired reference point before starting actual excavation work. Dredging under water During dredging work under water, the po- sition and status of the bucket are continu- ously shown on the display. Incline The desired incline is entered before work is commenced. During operation, the system then constantly displays the difference be- tween the target and actual incline. Laser receiver If 2D mode is used, the laser beam generat- ed by the transmitter serves as the reference level when determining the position. The laser receiver also compensates for height variations caused by the machine settling or getting 'bogged down'. Incline of the bucket The cross slope of the bucket slope is meas- ured by a slope sensor attached to the bucket. 1 2 3 4 1 2 2 2 3 2 2 Control panel Slope sensor Laser receivers LED display 4 > 5 Height alarm The system warns the operator when the bucket or the arm exceeds a defined height. This increases safety, for example during operation under a power line. > 6 Xsite LINK enables the convenient handling of a wide range of projects via a 5.7" touch screen display. The system's basic functions include the measuring of excavation depth, incline and range of the excavator bucket. The operator can directly generate a profile on the display, consisting of several levels and inclines. The position and status of the bucket are displayed in real-time on the panel. The vehicle operator is thus assured of precisely obtaining the desired excavation depth. The system can be upgraded with a laser receiver, an external LED display, a cross-slope sensor on the bucket and a GNSS sensor. Manual site surveys can be dispensed with thanks to RTK GNSS positioning and background maps. This means less personnel on site and less man-hours. System benefits: Optimisation of work processes No need for manual surveys thanks to RTK GNSS positioning 5.7" touchscreen display Upgrade to Xsite PRO possible at any time Three-dimensional graphic illustration on the display Xs i t e L I NK C ONVENI ENT OPERAT I ON, PREC I SE RESUL T S > 6 > 7 Incline angles are set via the touchscreen. Target and actual values are compared and displayed in real-time on the screen. The value dZ indicates the height difference between the current bucket position and the target value. The vehicle operator can rapidly and easily select the desired function via the intuitive menu. The cross slope is measured via a slope sen- sor on the bucket. A measuring point can be defined on either side of the bucket. The 3-dimensional graphic presentation makes it possible to rapidly and straightforwardly gen- erate and display levels and inclines. 1 2 3 4 Control panel Slope sensors Laser receivers LED display 1 2 2 2 3 2 2 4 > 7 > 8 With the high end Xsite PRO system, there is no need for time-consuming manual surveying; the vehicle operator can directly view all position data in the machine display. This saves time, material and fuel. Work processes are accelerated and quality improved. Design data can be directly used without time-consuming format conversion through the transmission of digital terrain models in the standard DXF or XML formats. Visualisation on the display means that orders can be accurately performed even for difficult tasks. On completion of the project, a report can be transmit- ted directly to the office via Internet connection. When Xsite PRO is used with two antenna, not only is the machine's location precisely determined, but also its direction of movement. This also aids optimum positioning of the machine on construction sites, where turning of the upper carriage is limited or even impossible. System benefits: Flexible application for the widest variety of requirements Digital 3D terrain models Can also be used in 2D mode Positioning via one or two GNSS sensors Wireless data exchange between machine and office 8.4" touchscreen display High-precision results Xs i t e PRO HI GH END SY ST EM I N 3D F ORMAT > 8 > 9 3D terrain models generate longitudinal and transverse profiles of the site. The vehicle operator can see the height difference to the design surface. If three dimensional lines are used, then the centre line of the road can, for example, be displayed as a 3D line. By means of this refer- ence line, the vehicle operator can monitor the position of the excavator. The system can automatically survey the site. For this purpose, the coordinates of the bucket measuring point are used. If point data is used, the display is also in point form. Vision 3D aligns the bucket in the X-, Y- and Z-axes in accordance with the en- tered point coordinates. The Vision 3D can generate simple digital ter- rain models even without design data directly on the construction site. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Control panel Slope sensors Laser receivers LED display Controller GNSS antenna 1 2 2 2 3 2 2 4 5 6 > 9 > 10 T EL E- SUPPORT I MMEDI AT E HEL P AT T HE PRESS OF A BUT T ON Tele-support and Service With our tele-support for Xsite LINK and Xsite PRO, you can get rapid and uncomplicated assistance from our support team, without having to wait for a service technician to turn up.
