ES = Early Start (How early an activity can be started)
EF = Early Finish (How early an activity can be finished)
LS = Late Start (How latest an activity can be started)
LF = Late Finish (How latest an activity can be finished)
TF = Total Float (How much float is available for a path so not to delay the project end date)
FF = Free Float (Available float for an activity so not to delay the project end date & ES of succedding activity)
Int.F = Interferring Float (Difference b/w TF and FF)
Ind.F = Independent Float (Available float of an activity, so not to delay project end, ES of succeeding activity and
preceeding activity's LF had not delayed)
SOLVING THE PROJECT NETWORK

- Calculate the Normal duration & Crash duration of all the activities (use proper logic and physical constraints)
- Calculate the Normal cost & Crash cost of all the activities
- Calculate the Slope of all the activities (ie., C / D = cost per day)
- Follow proper sequence & crashing rules and crash the project activities, plot the least cost curve

- Carryout the res. levelling technique with proper sequence (usually from the end)
- Calculate the Revised schedule of all the activities
