Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College celebrated its cultural function Manthan on
20
th
and 21
st
December 2013. It was organized by the students and cultural committee incharge
Mrs. Sumita, Lecturer Subharti Nursing College along with her team. The students and faculty of
Panna Dhai Maa Subharti Nursing College saw two days of excellent display of talent,
competitive spirit and excitement during the Cultural festival Manthan. Nothing was missing
from the two day carnival; right from dance to Music, Drama, Fashion Show, Rangoli, Mehndi,
Photography etc. Theme for various events were allocated like for Rangoli it was culture and
diversity and for Fashion Show it was Indian traditions.
On 20
th
, the first day of the festival the participants showed off their skills in a plethora of
Off Stage events. The event started from 11.00 am and continued till 4.00 pm. Events were
evaluated by External and Internal faculty from Subharti University.
After the fun packed day one, day two, i.e the 21
st
of dec started with the On Stage events.
The program started with the inaugural ceremony celebrating the culture and traditions of
India by lamp lighting by Dr. Shalya Raj, President Subharti University, Dr. G.S Bhatnagar,
Director Higher Education and Mrs. Ex.Capt. Geeta Parwanda.
The students got a taste for drama as skit were performed. The crowd were also enthralled
by the grooving tunes played by the various participants. There were also the amazing
performances of the group dance and solo dance. This was followed by the much awaited
event Mr. and Ms. Personality where student showcased their talent and intelligence,
confidence and wit. Mr. Personality goes to Mr. Gaurav Singh, GNM interns and Ms.
Personality was won by Ms. Arti of IV Year B.Sc Nursing.
The day ended with the prize distribution ceremony where the winners of various off and
on stage were awarded and appreciated. The events were extensively covered by the print and
electronic media. The efforts of the faculty members and students who were involved in the
planning and preparation of the festival were finally fruitful as their efforts were appreciated
and acknowledged by all.
