I must thank Wendy for filling in for me and writing last months message for the Womma, while I was away enjoying warm weather and sunshine. I hope everyone enjoyed the August rally including guest instructor, Noel Vears.
This month we will again have a guest instructor, Maria Platt from Tilling Hill Equestrian Centre. Please make her feel welcome for her first attendance at Mountain.
I would also like to thank Kiara Wanner, who has taken over the job of Womma Editor. We appreciate your time and effort. The Womma is an important aspect of our club so it is great to have it continue in your capable hands.
Echunga Earthmovers hope to complete our arena this week and get the top surface put down. Lets hope for good weather so that it is ready for our rally next weekend.
Our ODE is not too far way, so please put your name on the jobs board or speak to a committee member if you have any questions. We will have more info in the lead up.
A quick reminder that the balance of fees are now due, and Police check applications need to be submitted.
I would like to wish all our Dads a very happy Fathers day for Sunday. Have a great day and enjoy watching your children enjoy their sport.
Regards, Kirsty Miller

KITCHEN ROSTER Karinya Cup Points At the start of each rally riding members are given a gear-check and are at this time awarded points in relation to four categories; Rider, Horse, Gear and Punctuality. These points go towards the team Karinya Cup and the Individual High Points Trophy, both awarded annually at our AGM.
To gain full points for each category, the horse and rider should present as follows: Rider: To present in neat and clean full pony club uniform, including beige or navy jodhpurs, polished boots, tidy helmet and no jewellery. Horse: To present free of dirt or sweat marks, tail to be brushed, eyes and nose to be wiped and hooves oiled (not blackened). Gear: To be clean, well oiled and maintained, and bits to be thoroughly cleaned. Punctuality: Present mounted, lined up at the required gear-check time. *HINT* Be there before the gear-checker!
These requirements are designed to teach riders about caring for their horses, gear and general presentation for club events and competitions. We therefore encourage parents to get the kids doing the cleaning!
