Lorams TOR-CL (Top-of-Rail Curve
Friction Modier) is an environmentally
clean, synthetic-organic uid. The TOR-CL
was specically developed for top-of-rail and
rail gauge corner applications.
How it Works.
TOR-CL offers all season protection for your
rails. In addition to functioning as a friction
modier, TOR-CL concurrently serves as
a freeze barrier to snow and ice. TOR-CL
is resilient to low temperatures, and can be
easily dispensed at temperatures between
-30 F to 165 F, depending on viscosity grade.
TOR-CL is superior to any oil based and
liquid grease lubricants because it will not
easily wash away by rain and therefore main-
tains its effectiveness longer.

Lorams TOR-CL is available in three differ-
ent formulations for cold, moderate, and hot
temperatures, and has a pour point of -40 F.
It is a colorless, odorless, and water insoluble
uid, and is ideal for wet climates.

TOR-CL lasts longer than grease / graphite
by utilizing a lm it forms on the rail, which
continues to work even after application. Only
4 ounces (120 ml) of the fuid are required to
modify rail friction for a train up to 60 cars.
