Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Columbus, OH
Experiential Marketing Intern May 2014 - August 2014
Coordinated the Zoos appearance at Columbus annual Red, White, and Boom 4
th
of July Parade. Organized transportation,
animal promotions, and the team of Character Ambassadors.
Organized restaurant needs and coordinated event day set up for over 90 restaurants and bars for Zoofari fundraising event.
Served as liaison between the Zoo and Thiossane West African Dance Institute for summer performances to celebrate the
opening of the Heart of Africa exhibit. Managed performance schedule, performer needs, transportation, and coordinated
stage addition of a sun canopy over performers stage.
Served as main coordination contact with Nationwide Childrens Hospital for Teddy Bear Safari, an event that encourages
kids to not be afraid of trips to the hospital. Planned an educational story time for children with Berenstain Bears meet-and-
greets and coordinated a retail tent to sell teddy bears to guests on event day.
Chose event flag colors and managed radio and television promotion teams during Dive-In Movies at Zoombezi Bay.
Planned and implemented themed activities for guests to participate in prior to the start of each film during Dive-In Movie
nights.
Served as main contact for 14 companies to participate in the Zoos annual Touch A Truck event.
