HISTORY OF TAMRIEL

NOTICE: The following history lessons come from the Imperial Library, a fantastic
website, which contains all the lore, history, and info on the world of Nirn that one could
possible want.
Dawn Era
The Cosmos (Nir) is formed from the Aurbis (chaos, or totality) by Anu and Padomay.
Akatosh (Auriel) forms and Time starts. Gods (et'Ada) and Daedra materialize from the blood of Anu and
Padomay after their great battle over creation.
orkhan convinces!tricks the Gods to create the mortal "lane# $irn. The mortal "lane is highly magical and
dangerous. As the Gods %alk# its "hysical make&u" and even time itself becomes unstable.
'This (reator&Trickster&Tester deity is in every Tamrielic mythic tradition. )is most "o"ular
name is the Aldmeri 'orkhan#' or Doom Drum. )e convinced or contrived the *riginal +"irits
to bring about the creation of the ,ortal Plane# u"setting the status -uo much like his father
Padomay had introduced instability into the universe in the .eginning Place. After the %orld is
materialized# orkhan is se"arated from his divine center# sometimes involuntarily# and
%anders the creation of the et'Ada. /nter"retations of these events differ %idely by culture.'

)nown as 0Old Ehlnofey0/ and settle Tamriel. Their first colonies are distributed widely
along the entire coast of Tamriel. Later inland settlements are founded primarily in
fertile lowlands in southwest and central Tamriel. The sophisticated, literate,
technologically ad*anced %ldmeri culture dri*es the beastfol) into the -ungles,
marshes, mountains, and wastelands. The %damantine Tower is redisco*ered and
captured by the 1irenni, a prominent and powerful %ldmeri clan. Crystal Tower is
built on $ummerset Isle and, later, 2hite.3old Tower in Cyrodiil.
1uring the iddle erethic Era, %ldmeri e4plorers map the coasts of 5*ardenfel,
building the foundation of the 6irst Era wi7ard towers at %ld (edaynia, &al 6ell, Tel
%ruhn, and Tel ora in orrowind.

The %yleids flourish in the -ungles surrounding 2hite.3old Tower +present day
Cyrodiil/. 2ild El*es, also )nown as the 'eartland 'igh El*es, preser*ed the 1awn
Era magic)s and language of the Ehlnofey. Ostensibly a tribute.land to the 'igh ,ing
of %linor, Cyrod was often so isolated from the $ummerset Isles as to be its own
so*ereign nation.
Late iddle

The 1wemer +sometimes referred to as 01war*es0/, a free.thin)ing, reclusi*e %ldmeri
clan de*oted to the secrets and e4ploitation of science and myth, establish
underground cities and communities in the mountain range +later the 5elothi
ountains/ separating modern.day $)yrim and modern.day orrowind.6or more

The Chimer +ancestors of the 1unmer, or 1ar) El*es/, dynamic, ambitious, long.li*ed
%ldmeri clans de*oted to fundamentalist ancestor worship, follow the prophet 5eloth
out of their ancestral %ldmeri homelands to settle in the lands now )nown as
orrowind. 1espising the secular culture and profane practices of the 1wemer, the
Chimer also co*et the lands and resources of the 1wemer, and for centuries pro*o)e
them with minor raids and territorial disputes.6or more information: Lives of the

Trinimac +strongest of the %ldmeri ancestor spirits/ and his people try to halt the
5elothi dissident mo*ement. 'owe*er, the 1aedric 8rince &oethiah, one of the
masterminds of the mo*ement, eats Trinimac. Trinimac0s body and spirit are
corrupted, and he emerges as the 1aedric 8rince alacath. 'is people are changed
accordingly and become the Orsimer, or Orcs.

Circa 6leeing ci*il war and an increasingly frigid climate, 9sgramor and his men set sail
E :### from the northern continent of %tmora and land at 'saari) 'ead, the e4treme northern
tip of $)yrim0s &ro)en Cape. There the %tmorans build the legendary city of $aarthal
and ma)e first contact with the %ldmer or El*es of Tamriel.
The %tmorans and the El*es li*e in harmony for some time, but the relationship
;uic)ly turns hostile. In the city of $aarthal, the %tmorans find the Eye of agnus. %n
un)nown but powerful artifact that could endanger the world. The El*es learn this and
decides to secure the artifact. The 0Night of Tears0 happens, the city of $aarthal is
sac)ed and destroyed. 9sgramor escapes to %tmora and soon returns with his
legendary 6i*e 'undred Companions and e*entually ta)es the whole $)yrim from the
El*es, laying the foundations of first human empire in Tamriel. 'is people would later
come to be )nown as the Nords of $)yrim. The 1wemer in &lac)reach, deep beneath
$)yrim, are not affected by the war with the Nords.
Later on, 9sgramor de*elops a runic transcription of Nordic speech based on El*ish
principles and is the first human historian.

erethic Era

One faction of the El*es, )nown as the $now El*es are cornered in the eastern island
of $olstheim. In the 0&attle of the oesring,0 the $now 8rince, the leader of the $now
El*es army is )illed. The $now El*es are scattered and see) refuge to the 1wemer in
&lac)reach. The 1wemer tric) the $now El*es, ma)e them blind and ensla*e them.
They are now )nown as the 6almer. In some point in time, the 6almer rebel and the
02ar of the Crag0 enrages in &lac)reach. The war is ended when the 1wemer *anished
in the :E <<=.

Late
erethic Era

The Nords brought with them the %tmoran worship of animal gods. It is un)nown
how the situation came about, but in time the dragon priests had come to rule
the Nords with an iron fist. They are howe*er unable to maintain control and a
rebellion )nown as 0The 1ragon 2ar0 starts. Initially the Nords are crushed by the
priests and dragons. 'owe*er a few dragons ta)e the side of the Nords. The dragon
8aarthurna4 teaches the Nords the magical language of the dragons to form the
Thu0um or shout. The Nords e*entually o*erthrow the dragon priests and the dragons
are scattered. E*en so, hold outs of dragon cultists remain well into the 6irst Era,
belie*ing that the dragons will return.

Late
erethic Era
5elothi high culture disappears on 5*ardenfell island. The earliest 1wemer 6reehold
colonies date from this period. The degenerate 5elothi ci*ili7ation de*ol*es into tribal
cultures, which, in time, e*ol*e into the modern 3reat 'ouses of orrowind, or
persists as the barbarian %shlander tribes. The only sur*i*ing traces of this tribal
culture are scattered 5elothi towers and %shlander nomads on 5*ardenfell Island. The
original 6irst Era 'igh El*en wi7ard towers along the coasts of Tamriel are also
abandoned about this time.

eanwhile, other human tribes li*e scattered throughout Tamriel, often under the
dominion of the culturally superior %ldmer:
"The Nedic peoples were a minority in a land of Elves, and had no choice
but to live peacefully with the Elder Race. In High Roc, Hammerfell,

gathering armies, con;uering lands, ruling, then abandoning his )ingdoms to wander
again.
First Era
:E : The )ingdom of 5alenwood is established by )ing Eplear of the Camoran dynasty. This is
the first written record in the timeline of the nords and functions as the starting point of the
6irst Era. The )ingdom becomes a buffer between the %yleid city.state of 2hite.3old Tower
in central Tamriel and the influence of the stronger %ltmeri )ingdom of %linor in the
$ummerset Isles. O*er time, the %yleid territories grow increasingly independent and 2hite.
3old Tower e*entually rises as a new autonomous state.

ha*e tra*eled to %rtaeum to meet Iachesis, the (itemaster of the 8si-ic Order.

ban)s of $)yrim0s La)e 'onnith. Instead of the 6almer, they find a temple of 1ragon
Cultists and lay siege to the stronghold. % young Tongue brea)s down the walls of the
monastery but, once inside, $now.$trider0s men find that the inhabitants ha*e committed
suicide.

Tamriel and forms the )ingdom of $)yrim.

said to ha*e sur*i*ed all but three of his sons, though the identities of the two sons apart

remains of one AOlmgerd The OutlawA, traditionally held to be 'arald0s bastard son, who
presumably died during $)yrim0s con;uest of orrowind. The 1aggerfall Chronicles
describe 5rage, who assumes the throne in !!!, as '-almer0s youngest son, but gi*en the
small difference between their consecuti*e reigns, it is not unimaginable that 5rage instead
was 'arald0s third son and '-almer0s brother.

:E !@# Bnder 5rage, $)yrim e4pands its borders dramatically, at the e4pense of the surrounding
el*en territories. To the south, $)yrim challenges the %yleids and anne4es a swath of land in
the Nibenay *alley. To the west, $)yrim pushes the 1irenni, a powerful elf clan, out of most
the area now )nown as 'igh (oc). The arri*al of the Nords se*erely sha)es the power
balance between the nati*e nedic peoples and the el*es, though the 1irenni will remain
strong for centuries to come. To the east, the nomadic, di*ided Chimer and the reclusi*e
1wemer are defeated in a *iolent campaign, which results in $)yrim con;uering the entirety
of present.day orrowind +)nown to them as 1wemereth or 1unmereth/.

:E !@! Inspired by the 0sla*e ;ueen0 %lessia, the ensla*ed nedic humans in Nibenay start a *iolent
uprising against their %yleid o*erlords. The nedes are soon supported by 8elinal 2hitestra)e,
an inscrutable and nearly in*incible warrior of un)nown origins with an undying hatred for
the el*es, who single.handedly decimates the %yleid armies. 2ith 8elinal on their side, the
human rebellion is *ictorious through Nibenay, toppling stronghold after stronghold, each
time increasing their number with liberated sla*es.
The former sla*es are also -oined by the armies of $)yrim, lead by the demigod and winged
bull orihaus.&reath.of.,yne. The combined armies form an unstoppable force that ;uic)ly
con;uers all of the peripheral hegemonies of Cyrod. %ll sights are set on 2hite.3old Tower,
the last and greatest stronghold of the %yleids.

:E !@> The armies of the rebellion lay siege on 2hite.3old Tower. 8elinal grows impatient with the
slow preparations for the final attac) and heads for the city alone. 8elinal calls out Bmaril
the Bnfeathered, the )ing of 2hite.3old Tower and slays him in single combat. The
remaining %yleid )ings trap and .by secret methods. )ill 8elinal before attempting to flee the
city. $oon after, the armies of %lessia and orihaus sound the attac) and ra7e the remaining
defenses. 2hite.3old Tower is con;uered and the %yleid empire annihilated. %lessia, with
orihaus as her consort, is declared Empress of Cyrod.

%lessia0s fledgling )ingdom must reconcile *ast cultural differences. O*er centuries of
oppression, her fellow nedes had adopted elements of the %ldmeri pantheon, whereas the
Nords, whose support had been instrumental in the success of the rebellion, were
*ehemently opposed to the worship of the el*en deities. In response, the Empress introduces
the 0Eight 1i*ines0 as an intricate merger of the Nordic and %ldmeri pantheons. Curiously
absent from these eight gods is $he7arr +)nown to the Nords as $hor and to the el*es at large
as Lor)han/, whose *iolent, anti.%ldmer image was too diplomatically ha7ardous for
inclusion.

O*er the ne4t centuries, the Nibenese heartland de*elops a strong national identity and
e4tends its territory westward by anne4ing the )ingdom of Colo*ia.

The Elder Council elects &elhar7a the an.&ull as the second Emperor of Cyrodiil.

The %lessian Order, a religious order following the teachings of the Imga prophet aru)h,
gains control o*er the Cyrodiil empire. aru)h reportedly recei*es painful *isions of the
$la*e Cueen %lessia. The Order calls for a worldwide o*erthrow of %ldmeri rule and
suppression of the el*en elements of the Eight 1i*ines.
The %lessian doctrine spreads ;uic)ly throughout the Cyrodiilic heartland and northern
Tamriel. O*er the following centuries, the Order becomes increasingly powerful, relegating
the gods of the *arious el*en and mannish pantheons to the status of saints and lesser spirits
and replacing them by an increasingly abstract and un)nowable single god. The %lessian
Order will continue to dominate the Cyrodiilic empire for the better part of the 6irst Era.

2interhold, the ruler of $)yrim and last direct descendant of 9sgramor. The oot . a
council with the duty of choosing the ne4t )ing from ;ualified members of the royal family .
fails to appoint the ob*ious and capable Darl 'anse of 2interhold, which starts the disastrous
2ar of $uccession. In the following decades, $)yrim will lose its holdings in orrowind,
'igh (oc) and Cyrodiil.

9o)u time rec)oning. The emperors remain in place as ceremonial figures, but find their de
facto power e4tremely limited. The continent is plunged into three centuries of *irtually
continuous ci*il war between *arious local factions.

'ouses of the Chimer and has forged relations with 1umac of the 1wemer. The two leaders
unite their formerly opposed peoples against the occupying forces of $)yrim. In :E @:<, the
Nords are dri*en out of 5eloth.

%fter the war, 1umac and Nere*ar resol*e to ma)e peace. The new (esdayn is established
as a united Chimeri and 1wemeri )ingdom with Nere*ar and 1umac as its -oint leaders.
8eace between the Chimer and 1wemer brings an unprecedented prosperity and flowering of
both cultures.

e4ile and lea*e (esdayn fore*er. The (our)en e*entually e*entually arri*e in the region now
)nown as 'ammerfell and build their new )ingdom, 5olenfell. %ccording to legend, the
leader of the (our)en threw his hammer, 5olendrung, across Tamriel, promising to lead his
clansmer to where*er it should fall. This mythic image has been depicted on the walls of
se*eral ruins in 'ammerfell: a mass e4odus of golden.clad 1wemer, trudging through the
Cyrodiilic forests, 5olendrung a falling star in the nights)y before them, urging them on.

In $)yrim, the 2ar of $uccession is finally concluded with the 8act of Chieftains. It is
agreed that the oot will henceforth only assemble when a )ing dies without direct heirs.
O*er se*eral decades of strife, the empire of the Nords has lost its territories in 5eloth, 'igh
(oc) and Cyrodiil.

Olaf One.Eye becomes the 'igh ,ing of $)yrim. 'is feat defeating the dragon Numine4 is
legendary although some ;uestioning this tale.

Larich is married to &elene, the daughter of Dustinius of ,*atch.

Clan 1irenni again controls 'igh (oc) and holds parts of $)yrim and the area later to be
)nown as 'ammerfell.

Conflict between $)yrim and the %lessians. Emperor 3orieus defeats ,-oric the 2hite of
$)yrim on the field of battle. The chieftain of $)yrim perishes and 'oag is elected as his
successor.
% plague )ills horus and the rest of the local royal family in $)ingrad. 'a*ing sur*i*ed the
plague in Nibenay, horus0 son 1orald returns to $)ingrad to claim the throne and
immediately cedes the region to the %lessian empire. Offended, (isla* rallies the army of
,*atch and defeats his brother in $)ingrad, becoming the )ing of $)ingrad. 3orieus finds
himself thwarted in his attempts to gain a foothold in Colo*ia and in*ades the region. The
united forces of ,*atch and $)ingrad miraculously manage to defeat the %lessian army.
Inspired by the success of the rebellion, other local rulers in Colo*ia ;uestion the rule of the
%lessians and begin to form a cluster of indepedent regions )nown as the Colo*ian Estates.
This early di*ision into a headstrong, indepedent west and a refined, colorful east will in
many ways continue to tipify Cyrodiil throughout its history.
Other regions that reluctantly underwent strong %lessian influence, such as $)yrim and the
1irenni holdings, become restless as well. (yain 1irenni outlaws the %lessian doctrines and
harasses the border with Cyrodiil.

er)iller/ defeat the %lessian army in the &attle of 3lenumbria oors.
The battle is costly for all in*ol*ed parties. The power of Cyrodiil and the %lessians is
greatly diminished in the following decades. The 1irenni emerge *ictorious, but their se*ere
losses create a power *acuum that the emerging human nobility in their lands is ;uic) to fill.
'oag er)iller perishes during the battle and the legendary 2ulfharth of %tmora +also
)nown as 9smir/ is elected as his successor. 'e immediately orders a forceful reinstatement
of the traditional Nordic pantheon. %lessian temples are destroyed and their priests e4ecuted.

:E @?= 2ithin two decades after the %lessian defeat, the 1irenni ha*e lost most of their power to the
human inhabitants of 3reater &retony. The once.mighty clan now only holds the island of
&alfiera in Illiac &ay.
:E <#? ,ing Thagore of 1aggerfall defeats the army of 3lenpoint and 1aggerfall rises to become
the most powerful )ingdom in southern 'igh (oc).

Chimer 'ouse of 1agoth brings news about a grand 1wemeri pro-ect. The tonal architects of
the 1wemer with ,agrenac as their chief, ha*e unco*ered the 'eart of Lor)han and are
planning to use the dead god0s heart as the centerpiece of Numidium, a constructed god that
would allow the 1wemer people as a whole to transcend mortal e4istence. The Chimer
strongly disappro*e of the plan, considering it e4tremely blasphemous, while the 1wemer
feel their actions should not be -udged by the Chimer.
(epeated negotations between Indoril Nere*ar and 1umac fail to restore trust. The two
former friends ;uarrel bitterly and Nere*ar0s ad*isors call for war. In the cataclysmic &attle
of (ed ountain, the Chimer attac) the 1wemer strongholds on the flan)s of the
eponymous *olcano. Nere*ar, 1agoth, and a band of companions confront and )ill 1umac in
his citadel.
1uring the battle, the 1wemer people mysteriously *anish as a whole, including their e4iled
cousins of 5olenfell, presumably as a result of ,agrenac0s premature attempt to use his tools
on the 'eart. It remains unclear whether the disappearance of the 1wemer was a disastrous
failure or a success.
,agrenac0s tools are reco*ered by the Chimer. Nere*ar lea*es 1agoth to guard the tools in
the heart chamber, while he see)s the counsel of the Tribunal, his trusted ;ueen and generals:
%lmale4ia, 5i*ec and $otha $il. 1espite Nere*ar0s sincere reser*ations, the three persuade
him to preser*e and study the tools. %ll swear an oath upon %7ura ne*er to use the tools in
the manner the 1wemer had intended. Bpon returning to the 'eart Chamber, they find
1agoth irrationally reluctant to gi*e up the tools and are forced to ta)e them by force.
1agoth and his retinue manage to escape and are not heard of for many years.
%t some point Indoril Nere*ar dies, though the circumstances of his death are highly unclear.
The official stance of the later Tribunal Temple is that Nere*ar succumbed to gra*e wounds
he sustained in his fight with 1umac. %nother account, ascribed to Nere*ar0s lieutenant
%landro $ul and popular primarily among the nomadic ashlanders, holds that Nere*ar0s three
trusted ad*isors betrayed and murdered their friend, husband and leader, intending to brea)
their oath.

or where it too place, or the preliminaries which must have preceded the treaty. The public
reason was to protect the identities of the agents involved. In the 0est, speculation has
centered around the role of 3urin 1rctus in broering the agreement4 in the East, rumors
suggest that 2ivec offered Numidium to aid in the con5uest of the 1ltmer and (ummerset Isle
in return for significant concessions to preserve self%rule, house traditions, and religious

difficulties to suppress this illegal trading.
$ummerset Isle is in the state of changing. The 1aedra is always considered unholy to
the %ltmer, howe*er report has it that 1aedra worship had become increasingly
pre*alent in the $ummerset Isle. 6urthermore, the relation between the Imperial and
the %ltmer deteriorates. The syndicates of wi7ards, one of the powerful communities

Imperial City dungeon, the fate of the Emperor intertwines with a prisoner. $omehow Briel
has predicted the e*ent and before his death, he entrusts the %mulet of ,ings to the prisoner
to be deli*ered to the 3randmaster of the &lades, Dauffrey, and to see) the last true heir of the
$eptim 1ynasty.
The prisoner then plays a ma-or role in recapturing ,*atch from the 1aedric horde. The
prisoner is then renown as the 'ero of ,*atch. The hero with the help of the &lades unco*ers
the plot of a 1aedric Cult ythic 1awn. The cult tries to bring ehrunes 1agon to Tamriel,
and reshapes the undus. The hero successfully brings the heir of Briel )nown as &rother
artin to the Cloud (uler TempleF the &lades ta)es o*er the -ob to secure the heir.
Bnfortunately, the ythic 1awn has successfully ta)en the %mulet of ,ings.
$hortly, the force of Obli*ion is unleashed throughout Tamriel. In $)yrim, the force of
1aedra stri)es almost all Nordic cities, from the southern 6al)reath to 2indhelm in the east.
The Old 'olds +the collecti*e Nordic cities in the north and west/ ha*e been defeated. In
orrowind, the force of Obli*ion obliterates 'ouse (edoran city of %ld0ruhn. 'ouse
Tel*anni fights the 1aedra and does their best to close the Obli*ion gates, but little is gained.
In the &attle of &ruma, the prisoner.turned.hero single.handedly closes the Obli*ion 3reat
3ate by capturing the 3reat $igil $tone. This effecti*ely closes the gate, and cuts the
dreadful 1aedric $iege Engine in half. The battle is ended with *ictory on the &ruma alliance
forces. Then the hero manages to recapture the %mulet of ,ings and slays the leader of the
ythic 1awn, an)ar Camoran.
2hen artin and the rest of the company in the route to relight the 1ragonfire in the
Imperial City Temple of the One, the 1aedric 8rince ehrunes 1agon has successfully
crossed the barrier between realities and emerged in the Imperial City. 1esperately artin
destroys the %mulet of ,ings in order to unite the &lood of the ,ings and the 1i*ine Essence
of %)atosh. artin dies but his plan wor)s. The %*atar 1ragon of %)atosh materiali7es. The
%edra %)atosh battles the 1aedra ehrunes 1agon on the ruins of the Temple of the One.
The %*atar of %)atosh e*entually defeats ehrunes 1agon, but the 1ragon %*atar is
grie*ously wounded. 2ith its remaining power the 1ragon %*atar closes the barrier between
realities once more. The 1ragon %*atar is turned to stone after draining all its remaining
power. The great 1ragon statue now stands in the middle of the ruined Temple of the One.
artin, the last heir of the $eptim 1ynasty is no more, and the Empire is once again without
an Emperor. The Elder Council under the leadership of Councilor Ocato tries to uphold the
crumbling Empire. The hero is declared as the Champion of Cyrodiil. This is the end of the

%n obscured report states that there is strife in the underground assassin guild of 1ar)
&rotherhood. embers of the &lac) 'and and the Listener himself are slain. % traitor
to the guild manipulates a new member to systemically slay all the important
members of the assassin guild. %lthough the traitor is finally defeated, but the 1ar)
&rotherhood is more or less crippled by this internal strife.
The 6ighters 3uild faces a direct competition from &lac)wood Company. The new
guild of fighters is more discipline, efficient and stronger. One of the members of the
6ighters 3uild unco*ers the mystery behind the mercenary group. The &lac)wood
Company uses 'ist $ap potions e4tracted from a sic)ly 'ist tree that brought down to
Leyawiin from &lac) arsh. The potion ma)es the people who dran) it ferocious,
bloodthirsty and unable to thin) clearly. The 'ist tree is finally destroyed as well as
the &lac)wood Company.
%grona) gro.alog, the 3rand Champion of Imperial City %rena is defeated. It turns
out that the old 3rand Champion is a son of a 5ampire lord and an Orc female. This is
the first )nown relation between a 5ampire and a normal person that resulted a child.
Bmaril the Bnfeathered, the ancient foe of 8elinal 2hitestra)e, resurfaces. 'e brings the
army of %urorans, the minions of eridia. &efore he unleashed his full.scale war, he
launches moral.brea)ing attac)s to some of the Chapels of Nine 1i*ines, slaying the priests
and left messages. The Champion of Cyrodiil guided by a strange prophet embar)s on the
;uest to reco*er the Crusader0s (elics, once the armor and weapons of 8elinal 2hitestra)e.

the soul of $ul0s lo*er, the Ingenium e4plodes, catapulting them both into Obli*ion. The
inistry of Truth crashes into 5i*ec City, creating a huge crater that immediately fills with
water from the Inner $ea. The crater becomes )nown as the$cathing &ay. The impact of the
inistry of Truth also causes the eruption of the (ed ountain. This chain of e*ents )ills
thousands and remembered as the (ed 9ear.
In $econd $eed, shortly after the cataclysmic eruption of (ed ountain, the crippled
orrowind is in*aded by an army of %rgonians urged on by the 'ist. The nation of
orrowind colapses, and the sur*i*ors of the cataclysm and the war flee to the island of
$olstheim. The %rgonian in*asion reaches at least as far north as (ed ountain. Once they
hold the pro*ince, they ma)e no effort to coloni7e or rule.

and secede the pro*ince from the Empire. The Empire led by 3eneral Tullius tries to ;uell
the $tormcloa) rebellion. $hortly the Darls of $)yrim chose side and $)yrim is split.
The 1ragonborn emerges. %lduin was defeated bac) in erethic Era by the Nordic heroes,
but they were unable to )ill %lduin. Dust by using the Elder $crolls the Nordic heroes
managed to delay the de*astation upon them. Then %lduin arri*es, resurrects the remains of
1ragons and starts his *engence upon the Nords. % former prisoner of the Imperial
unwittingly absorbs the soul of a slain 1ragon and use the ThuJum. The 3raybeards summon
him and train him to properly using the ThuJum. The remnants of the &lades help him and
direct him to defeat %lduin. In $o*ngarde, the 1ragonborn e*entually slays %lduin.
The Emperor Titus ede II is assassinated by the 1ar) &rotherhood in $)yrim. The 1ar)
&rotherhood reco*ers from de*astated situation following the destruction of its sanctuaries
throughout Tamriel. % new Listener is chosen by the Night other herself but this causes
conflict within the guild. The Listener e*entually becomes the leader of the guild. In the
wa)e of the new order, the 1ar) &rotherhood manages to assassinate the Emperor Titus
ede II. It is also belie*ed that a member of the Elder Council arranged the assassination.
The rise of the Thie*es 3uild in (iften. %fter some bloody infighting, the new leader of the
Thie*es 3uild led the guild into a prominent position in (iften. The misfortune that hitting
the guild for decades is no more and slowly the guild influences spread throughout $)yrim.
The $)eleton ,ey is once more returned into the Twilight $epulcher, the mysterious shrine
of Nocturnal. The $)eleton ,ey itself changes hands in countless time and the facts about
this artifact is unclear as the nature of Nocturnal herself.
The College of 2interhold unco*ers the Eye of agnus deep inside $aarthal. howe*er, the
powerful artifact causes ripple of destruction and chaos in the area. The 8si-ics Order
interferes and e*entually the Eye of agnus is ta)en into %rtaeum for the safety of all.
Dorr*as)r, the mead hall of the Companion, the guild of fighters of $)yrim, is attac)ed by the
$il*er 'and group. The Companion retaliated and in the $il*er 'and is wiped out. The e*ent
e*entually led to the disco*ery and re.forging of 2uuthrad, the legendary a4e of 9sgramor.
