THE IRONY OF LIFES DISPOSITION
Life has its own way of steering an individual into unavoidable situations never
bargained for even at non slightest opportunity or reason, that for some or at most attribute tothe
physical and spiritual forces that have taken charge on earth.
The ever changing state of human arrangement can be properly understood by the
physical forces behind its arrangement, for instance my early childhood can be described as a
wave of loss of sight and inconsistency I attribute to the wind of general societal expectation.
This can be seen from the response I gave out on what I will like to become career wise, your
guess may be as good as I wanted to be either a lawyer , a surgeon , an engineer and or an
astronaut, this choices can be traced to the wind of the then parental and societal look up,
anything contrary or short of these, is placed under a wasteful life and an investment that has or
shall turn out amirage and stupidity both on the part of the individual and parent concerned.
Overtime, the ever changing waveof life moves on as the state to which I came to
discover myself, understood that self discovery is important towards self fulfillment and self
actualization coupled with the changing perception of the society. Today the likes of Ali Baba,
J ulius Agwu, Paul & Peter Okoye (P- Sqaure), Bright Okpocha (Basketmouth) andhost of others
who discovered what they actually desired in life despite the challenge faced as regards pursuing
their talent was possible through self discovery and assertion.
Today the perception of never-do-well for them has been changed to world stars
celebrated within andaround the world. To emphasize again that, that was madepossible
throughthe self discovery and self assertion. The trend today is not longer based on what was
studied but how to fit in anywhere and still actualize what you want.
For me, its until I had my own conviction and self- examination dawn in my life that the
pay for such self discovery and actualization for success came knocking. The earlier desired
career was put to zero as I now know what I wanted and its been where I am now, while the
ever changing disposition got dawn as those desired career became uninteresting while their face
of pay and rating is completely going down the drain today compared to what it used to be as the
all-in-all.
Again, the face of new ideas, career like the Library & Information Science and others
are pulling the wave within the country and around the world. This discovery can be credited to
self discovery and assertion. I have discovered better opportunities in the conviction and
understood the right direction in my life while thoroughly maintaining the mapped out plans.
Moreso, I have enjoyed the benefit of my conviction and knows that tomorrow brings wholeness
and happiness.
Its my sincere opinion and wish that for anyone wishing to mark excellence must have a
sense of direction which makes for easy and fast headway in life, the fear of what may be or not,
or what fate has for one will always be curtailed by a clear juxtapose of such conviction.
Finally, for whatever reasons you find yourself where you are may be likened partially or
if not completely by the decisions of yesterday; however, for whatever reasonsyou find yourself
anywhere, theres a purpose. I urge each and everyone to be optimistic, work hard, be focused,
pray hard and totallydependon God almighty without shrinkingand then success in no doubt
maybe an understatement.
