The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something.

Dont wait for good things to happen to

you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill
yourself with hope. BARRACK OBAMA
Good afternoon to one and all present here.
PAHEL, People for Advocacy of Health, Environment & Literacy- the CSR Club of IMT Hyderabad
welcomes you to celebrate the success of one of the ventures taken up by us at
IMT,HYDERABAD
Firstly, A brief description of PAHEL:
The purpose of the club is to strengthen network and linkages amongst students, the community,
socially responsible corporate, NGOs and other formal and informal institutions. The club has its focus
on health, education and hygiene as the primary vehicles for building capabilities and expanding the
available opportunities for development.
Today,we are here to celebrate the national nutrition week which was held in IMT Hyderabad
during 1
st
-7
th
September 2014. On account of national nutrition week, we the PAHEL Club have
initiated the Rice Bucket Challenge wherein the nominated students donated rice for the benefit
of those in need.
The Rice Bucket Challenge is the innovative idea of Hyderabad-based Ms.Manju Latha
Kalanidhi who posted the challenge, seeking her friends to donate a bucketful of rice and
feed the poor in the locality. In her own words - Its local, desi and a practical solution to issues
in the vicinity. Instead of wasting water on ice bucket challenge, save water and feed the
hungry.
What started as a small exercise on Face book amongst friends has made us reach today to this
stage where we are celebrating the generous donation of a total of [ ] kgs of rice by the students
of IMT Hyderabad, which the PAHEL club will be donating to three NGOs today.
It gives me immense pleasure to introduce the NGOs who have come here to support our
initiative and celebrate the success of IMT Hyderabad students in taking up this challenge. (NGO
