Cadiao and I am going to give a speech about

the Best Election practices. According to Wikipedia Election is the formal decision-making
process by which a population chooses an individual to hold public offices while the best
practice is a method or technique that has consistently shown results to those achieved with other
means, and that is used as a bench mark. If we put these words together, it will define what the
best election practices of the Filipinos are.
The possible candidates was invited by the party to run or willing candidates submit themselves
to run under the party. Usually the candidates hat will run are also the elected leaders that has
been elected on the last election and will run again but for a higher position. Most of the time
another family member will also run but in different position. Politics in the Philippines is
heavily influenced by rivalries between families or clans, whose members have held position of
power and been elected to office in specific regions for year even decades. According to the
Wikipedia Politics in the Philippines has been under the control of a few notable families. It is
normal for a politicians son, wife, brother, or other kinsman to run for the same government
office. The term coined by the Filipinos to describe this practice is Political Dynasty
When the campaigning starts, we can see the advertisement of the candidates that introducing
themselves and use different strategies like poor kids, and celebrities. Some uses the story of
their life like their rags to riches life and saying that they know how hard to live in poverty so
they can get the attention of the voters especially the poor people. They also use music in their
advertisement so when we are voting we can easily remember their names especially when their
names are part of the song. They also give flyers, posting posters, giving things like t-shirts,
foods etc. and using a campaign vehicle that plays their song and roam around the town.
Before the election, meeting de avance was organized by concerned people. Here, the candidates
are going to introduced themselves and tell their platforms. They will also debate about the
issues that concerns the country. It is mostly done in different school because the voting
population is mostly the youth.
After the campaigning is the voting, this is the time when we are going to choose the candidate
that we want him/her to serve for us. Before, we used to manually count the votes but now we
the Precinct Count Optical Scan (PCOS) machines that automatically counts all the votes which.
We just need to fill up the ballot paper and put it inside the PCOS machine then the machine will
do the counting. The public schools will serves as the falling precinct where will we are going to
vote.
We can easily be tempted to money, and other material things that used for campaigning. But we
should always remember that our every vote can change our future or can make our future better.
Just like Theodore Roosevelt said A vote is like a rifle: its usefulness depends upon the
character of the user.
