Happy New School Year 2014/2015,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back all our El Dorado Secondary
swimmers. Congratulations and best wishes to those who have graduated. We thank you for
serving the school through swimming.
I am glad to hear that so many are ready to return to the water. I hope that more
students will be swimming this year. We will be taking part in two swimming meets this
term. The Tidal Wave Aquatics East/Central Zone School Swim Meet will take place on

Centre of Excellence, Macoya.I hope that all will attend .There is a need for dedicated
swimmers to swim for the school. We also need to come and lend our support to our fellow

hope that students and parents can take the opportunity to witness this event,
Students are once again encouraged to join our current swimmers at various venues.
There is a Learn to Swim afternoon session for students of our school on Mondays and
Wednesdays at Centre of Excellence from 3.00pm to 4.00 pm. The monthly payment is
approximately $150.00 and must be made in advance. They also have a variety of aquatic
programmes available at various times which I would encourage students who cannot join the
afternoon programme to join. Parents will have to register at the pool as soon as possible.
Please ask parents to contact them at 222-0553 or 222-0625 .Centre of Excellence host two
swimming clubs: Tidal Wave Aquatics and Sea Hawks. We have had students participating in
both teams. These clubs have produced national swimmers for regional and international
events. Students who want to join these clubs please ask your parents to call them directly
and meet them at the Centre of Excellence .Sea Hawks President can be reached at (868)
712-3705 .Sea Hawks Secretarys contact is .Sea Hawks website is
http://www.seahawkssc.org.tt/.Tidal Wave Aquatics. A limited number of students also swim
on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the Centre of Excellence. We also use this time in
preparation for swim meets.
La Joya Swimming Pool is another area where our students have developed their
swimming skills .They have a Learn to Swim programme all well as a vibrant swimming
club. Parents can contact the Sporting Complex at 868) 662-8533.
I would recommend that all students especially those taking part in sporting activities
make use of the students insurance policies available.
Thank you for your continuing support.
