Go to your documents folder and under 'Electronic Arts' and Sims 4 Create a
Sim Demo there's a mods folder.

I'm curious, what did you download? It's not really uncommon for it not to work
due to the fact that this is a demo and isn't perfect. Try restarting your game.

I downloaded a jacket and rob somone posted yesterday ill try downloading

Also make sure to read the creators instructions/comments/notes to make sure
you understand the mod.

OK after a little experimenting, I discovered that the CC I d'loaded (recolors
only) just goes into the mods folder NOT into a mods > packages folder. I made
a "recolors" folder in the mods folder and it works fine.
I'm guessing it would be good idea to be a bit careful about mod sorting for this
new iteration of the sims or that mods folder could get messy.

TS4CAS default replacements - DressBeltShiny, DressFlutter
I made a couple default replacements, pics and packages below -- they're
mostly just colour slidery changes, nothing spectactular. But they do fix a
couple annoyances I found, so maybe someone else will want them too.
They're not polished in any way (still have the old swatches/thumbs) since I

The names of screenshots and packages are equivalent. Note that the
filenames are always that of the item that is being replaced, since that should
make it easier to avoid duplicates -- but it means you need to look at the pic to
see what color the actual replacement is going to have (they're not always the
same).
Splitting this up in multiple posts for easier overview (and because of the 8-pix-
max-uploading thing).
yfBody_DressBeltShiny_BlackWhite.package -- black belt instead of purple 1.
yfBody_DressBeltShiny_PinkBlueNavy.package -- black/black instead of
nonsense colours

yfBody_DressBeltShiny_RedBlack.package -- made studs on belt silver-ish
instead of red; darker colours

yfBody_DressBeltShiny_YellowLtLime.package -- studs are silver instead of
yellow
