Scenario 2: False Advertising

a. Location: At a business Characters: Salesperson and Customer

Student A: Customer Student B: Salesperson
You came to this business because of an
advertisement that you saw on the internet. You
want to buy the thing you saw advertised, and you
need it before the end of the week. Ask the
salesperson to give it to you for the price you saw in
the advert.
Youre a salesperson at the business. A customer
comes and wants to buy something he/she saw
advertised on the internet. You cant give the
customer the item he/she wants at the price he/she
wants. Explain to the customer the price you can sell
the item at, and why you cant give this item for the
price the customer wants.

a. In what kind of shop is the dialogue taking place, and what is the shops name?
b. What does the customer want to buy and for how much money?
c. Where on the internet did the customer see the item advertised?
d. Why cant the salesperson give the item to the customer at the price he/she wants?
