Aircraft maintenance engineers may specialize in power systems, airframe, electrical
systems or any of the electronic systems. Under the supervision of an aeronautical
flight engineer they carry out a complete inspection of the aircraft prior to its take off.

They work as line maintenance mechanics or as overhaul mechanics. Line
maintenance mechanics work on all parts of the aircraft. At the airports during
turnarounds they make necessary emergency and other required repairs.

Overhaul mechanics carry out routine maintenance after an aircraft has completed

The course duration is 3 years 6 months and the training is imparted in
