PLS-1M Giewont

Giewont laser-tag is a system that allows individual soldier training, tactical and fre
training of soldier groups, sections, battle/assault groups, individually and collectively
using the devices and military equipment, which the Land Army and Special Forces are
equipped with.

The system has a modular structure. Different modules of the GIEWONT system are integrated and can be used alone as well
as in confgurations allowing exercises and cooperation between various formations of military formations performing their
tasks in an open and built-in area in bilateral simulated duels.
The system provides:
mutual communication and cooperation between all devices in the system
full identifcation of the object and the type of weapon and ammunition used
determining the position of an object in the feld using a GPS navigation device
realistic representation of the effects of striking exercise participants
archiving and imaging exercises on a computer screen or large format displays
performing exercises in all kinds of terrain and weather conditions, during day and night
fring according to the parameters of a weapon
safety for the sight of the exercising persons (meets the requirements of PN-EN 60825-1 for 1 safety class)
The system comprises:
set of simulators for a soldier (laser transmitter with a receiver for the torso and a helmet equipped with a radio
system for the local communication between individual components of the simulator)
universal laser detection receiver sets worn on any objects
a set of simulators for armoured vehicles and artillery guns
sets of vertical shooting simulators (mortars)
set of optoelectronic shields for shooting and individual exercises and optoelectronic shields for situational shooting
Personal radio links of global communication for transferring data between the soldiers and the other elements located
in the centre of the battlefeld and base managing the battlefeld.
Global communication provides the ability to remotely control the course of the exercise (the location of the object in
the feld, interpreting the health status of a person hit: killed, hurt, seriously injured, return to exercises, etc.), and
execution of operations such as reading a number of the simulator, coding the amount of available ammunition, and
more. Local connectivity between the soldiers or vehicles individual pieces of equipment, as well as communication
with the conciliators module is provided by Bluetooth and infrared.
GIEWONT system simulators are transparent to the user their operation does not require taking any other actions
than those that are taken during the operation of the real equipment. In this way, the use of the simulation system does
not strengthen improper habits, but only raises real combat capability of the exercising persons.
GIEWONT laser-tag is the resultant work of the consortium, which comprises the following entities: BUMAR PCO S.A.
