The teacher asks the students to list out some rhyming words which they know. Then she
divides the class into five based on their numbers.

The teacher has in her hand some cards containing a set of fifteen words and above each word one
number from 1 to 15 are written, another set of 15 rhyming words and another set of 15 opposites.
The teacher then shuffles these cards. To each group she gives nine cards ( three words ,three rhyming
words and three opposites )

The teacher has to take care that in the same group, the rhyming word or opposite of the word given
in that group should not be given.
The teacher then says to the students:
Today we are going to play a game. I had given you some words. Above some words, I had written
some numbers. When I say the number written above any word, one member from that group has to
stand and read the word. Then if I clap once, those who got the rhyming word of that word has to
stand and read it. If I clap twice, the one who got the opposite of that word has to stand and read the
word. For every right answer, 1 mark will be given to the group and for every wrong answer, mark
negative will be given. Those who score the highest mark will be the winners.
