Data plans in 3G - Prepaid services

Initial SIM & Activation Charges for both Voice and Data plans under 3G prepaid service:

Rationalization of activation of 2G/3G prepaid data plans under mobile services

Activation of 2G/3G prepaid data plans under mobile services is rationalized in Tamilnadu LSA (incl.
Chennai Telecom District) with effect from 18.12.2013.

Accordingly a New Data Plan Voucher (PV 94) is introduced. The existing PV 51 & PV 102 with SUK 10 have
been withdrawn with effect from 23:59 Hrs of 17-12-13.


The details of New Data Plan Voucher are as under:-

Base Voice Tariff Plan As per prepaid General Plan

The above free data usage is allowed at the time of activation only.
Henceforth, Plan activation to prepaid data plan with the sale of BSNL data card (including reverse bundling) and
also for the purchase of Data Card from outside market will be through PV 94 only.
Henceforth, all the customers who enrolled through PV 51 & PV 102 with SUK 10 have to use PV94 only for
extending their data plan validity.

All other terms and conditions including the applicability of Uniform Data STVs will remain same.

Reverse Bundling (Purchase of DATA Cards through The Data card vendor under Bundling scheme):

The Data card vendor will issue SIM to the customer at the time of purchase of DATA Card.
The customer has to submit the CAF to the nearest CSC/Franchisee with the SIM for activation.
DATA Plan will be activated through revised Plan Voucher of RS.94/- thru CTOP.
The customer will be given 1GB Free data usage with 30 days validity from the date of creation and the Main
Account validity will be set 365 days from the date of 1st call.*123#.

For data plans with and without sale of BSNL Data Card or any of the BSNL
bundled Data Card

Since the Plan is independent of these Data Plan vouchers, after the validity the customer can use any one of the
above Data Plan Voucher for activation through C-Top-Up and then the Free Data usage pertaining to the chosen
DPV will be given to the customer.

All the DPVs will be configured in CTOPUP only.

During the validity, customers are allowed to use Data STVs which are currently on offer.
For the purpose of extending the validity, customer can choose any one of the above Data Plan Voucher only and
Un-utilized Free Data Usage - if any, will be carried forward in the case of recharge during the validity period.
However, Un-utilized Free Data Usage if any, will be nullified beyond validity.

These three new data Plan Vouchers can be directly applied under unified plan for activation, after making first
call.

Migration from other plans to these three new Data plans is permitted w.e.f. 27.07.2013
Migration from these three data plans to other plans is not allowed.

The customer profile in the new unified Data STVs will be 3G with no speed restriction.

3G DATA Facilities to Prepaid customers:
Existing prepaid customers can avail 3G services wherever 3G services are available.

To enjoy the 3G facilities, wherever 3G services are available, the customer should have 3G enabled
handset.

The customer has to choose Automatic / Dual mode in Network setting in his handset. This will enable
him to view the 2G / 3G Network symbol.

Any new or existing prepaid customer can activate data by using any one of the data STVs - thro C-Top-up
as well as through SMS).

The tariff beyond the free usage limit specified for each Data STVs is @ 2p/10KB uniformly.

During the above said process, the basic voice tariff plan in prepaid continues to remain the same.
