In 1993, Matt H Fleeger founded a diversified holding company that offered healthcare facilities
medical waste services. MedSolutions, Inc provided a comprehensive solution for healthcare
facilities that needed transportation, treatment, and disposal services for their medical waste
streams. As a founder of the company, Matthew H Fleeger had significant influence over its
operations. During his time at MedSolutions, Inc he served as the CEO, President, and
Chairman/Director. Under Matt Fleeger’s leadership the company gained a reputation for reliable
services. He eventually negotiated the sale of MedSolutions, Inc to Stericycle, Inc (nasdaq: srcl),
the primary leader in this industry, for about $59 million in 2007.

Matthew H Fleeger Returns to Gulf Coast Western

After negotiation the sale of MedSolutions, Inc, Matt Fleeger returned to Gulf Coast Western,
where he took the President and CEO positions. His father had started the company in 1970, so it
was only fitting that Matthew Fleeger should assume control over its operations. After all, he had
significant experience in the industry and had already founded one successful company. His
experiences in mergers and acquisitions, general partnerships, equity and debt vehicles,
marketing, sales, and finance made him the obvious choice for Gulf Coast Western.

Gulf Coast Western explores, develops, and acquires oil and gas reserves in the United States.
The company primarily focuses on domestic oil and gas reserves located in the Gulf Coast
region. The company has $40 million in revenues, which makes it a major player in the domestic
energy reserves industry. As the United States considers the impact that foreign oil has on
national security, it is likely that the business’s importance will continue to grow under Matthew
H Fleeger’s experienced leadership.

Matt H Fleeger’s Tanning Businesses

Matthew Fleeger’s business interests have also lead him into the tanning industry. He
participated in the initial development of both Palm Beach Tan, Inc and Mystic Tan. With his
business development leadership, Palm Beach Inc quickly grew from a six-store operation into
one of the largest chains of indoor tanning operators. Mystic Tan has also experienced renowned
success under his guidance: today it is the largest spray-on tanning booth franchise in the entire
world. These two companies have a combined revenue steadily approaching $100 million.
