Intercession (SHAFA-ATH) of the

Holy Prophet r
PART 2
Hazrat Ubay bin Ka'ab t reports that the Holy Prophet r said,
On the day of Qiyamaah I will be the Leader and Spokesperson of all the Ambia (Al
aihimus Salaam) and I will be the master of their intercession. I do not say thi

Hazrat Anas bin Maalik t says that the Holy Prophet r said,

When the people will rise from their graves, then I shall be the first to rise. I
will be their leader when they go before Allaah and I will be their spokesperson
when they are all alone and I will be their intercessor when they are stopped i
n Mahshar and I will give them hope when they are in despair. The keys of respec
t and treasures of mercy will be in my hand on that day Liwa ul Humd (The Flag o
f Praise) will be in my hand. From amongst all the people I am the most exalted
near my Creator. Thousands of servants will be going around me as if they were e
ggs and are kept with great care or like pearls all widely spread out. [Mishkaat

Hazrat Abu Hurairah t reports that the Holy Prophet r said,

On the day of Qiyamaah I will be the leader of the children of Hazrat Adam (Alaih
is Salaam). I will be the first to rise from my grave. I will be the first to st
art interceding and my intercession will be the first to be accepted. [Mishkaat S

Hazrat Jaabir t reports that the Holy Prophet r said,
I am the leader of the Prophets and I do not show any pride. I am the seal of the
Prophets and I do not show any pride, and first of all I will intercede and my
intercession will be accepted and I do not show any pride. [Mishkaat Pg.514, Ash

Hazrat Anas t reports that the Holy Prophet Muhammad r said that on the day of Q
iyamaah, the people will congregate and say
We wish to find someone to intercede for us in the Court of Almighty Allaah so tha
t He may grant us comfort at this point.
After this, they will go before Hazrat Adam (Alaihis Salaam) and say, O Adam! (Al
aihis Salaam) Are you not looking at the people? Almighty Allaah has created you
with his Qudrat and commanded the Angels to prostrate before you. He gave you th
e knowledge of the names of everything.
They will say,
Intercede for us in the court of our Creator so that He may grant us (some) relie
f at this
point. Then Hazrat Adam (alaihis salaam) will say,
This is not my duty (In
other words first open the doors of Shafa at). He shall say,

Go to Hazrat Nooh (alaihis salaam) for he is the first Nabi that Almighty Allaah s
ent

towards the people on earth. Then they will go to Hazrat Nooh (alaihis salaam) an
d he too
will say,
This is not my duty (first open the doors of Shafa at). He shall f
say,

Go to Hazrat Ibrahim (alaihis salaam).


He is the friend of Almighty Allaah.
Then they will go to him and he shall say
This is not my duty. He will furth
say,

Go to Hazrat Moosa (alaihis salaam). He is a special servant of Almighty Allaah. A


lmighty Allaah gave him the Tauraat and also spoke to him.
Thus the people will go before him and he too will shall
This is not my duty.

Go to Hazrat Esa (alaihis salaam) He is the special servant and Rasool of Almigh
ty Allaah and His Kalima and Rooh.
The people will then present themselves before Hazrat Esa (alaihis salaam) and h
e will say,
and then say:

Go into the Court of Hazrat Muhammad r who is a unique servant of Almighty Allaah
and it is through him that Almighty Allaah has forgiven those before and after hi
m. Then Huzoor r said, They will come to me
Then, I shall ask for permission in the Court of Almighty Allaah and permission wi
ll be granted. And when I am granted the divine vision of seeing Almighty Allaah,
I will prostrate (make Sajdah). Then Almighty Allaah will say,
Rise O Muhammad r, Ask and request and it will be given, and intercede and your i
ntercession shall be accepted.
The Holy Prophet r has stated, Any person who read laa ilaaha ilal la and has Ima
an in his heart equal to a grain of wheat, He will be taken out of Jahanum, afte
r this, he will be removed from Jahanum who has in his heart Imaan equivalent to
a speck of flour and then he will be removed from Jahanum who has in his heart
Imaan equivalent to a speck of dust. [Bukhari Shareef Pg.1102 Vol.2 - Ibn Majah
