A particular way in which someone or something is placed or arranged

1. Create an Employee.
2.Create a ob.

Enter the details such as Employee $ame, +ender, Action# Create Employment&,$ational
8dentifier number, 9/: of the employee etc. and save.

Click on $ame tab and ;pdate the ob Code and ob $ame in the ob fle< field and 0ave.

6ollow the same process to create any number of =obs as re>uired.

Assigning ob to "osition.
Also ;pdate the /rgani?ation , assign the =ob to the postion and select the status as active.
Enter the 6TE#6ull time E>uivalent& and 2ead count as stated below.

3epeat the process to create any number of positions as re>uired.

$ow click on assignment tab to open Employee to supervisor assignments.

Assigning Employee to the 0upervisor.
+oto 0upervisor tab and enter the supervisor name#A.:aner=ee, highlighted in red rectangle&
under whom the Assigned employee#+ary ones in the below picture& works.

9efining approval group and assigning the same to the ob-"osition.
Assign the Approval +roup to the ob.

greyedout.
This completes the Employee 4 0upervisor 2ierarchy setup.
6urther Create the "urchase order or re>uisitons accordingly to test the functionality.

1. 8f the approval hierarchy check bo< is checked in the "/4456inancial options44523%0 tab
then it is termed as ob-"osition hierarchy and if the same is unchecked then it is termed
as Employee40upervisor 2ierarchy.
2. 6or ob-"osition 2ierarchy the position field is selected during assignment of the approval
group and if it is Employee 40upervisor hierarchy then the position field shall grey out.
!. The hierarchy is set in "/ 0uperuser4450etup445personnel445"osition hierarchy for
ob-position hierarchy and if it is Employee supervisor hierarchy then hierarchy is set in
23%0 0uperuser 445 "eople445Enter and %aintain445Assignments4450upervisor .
