Designation: Tax Analyst

Company: ABC Global Services (fictitious), (hereafter may be referred to as


“the firm”)

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a tax analyst, your objective would be to help the firm by working in


advisory, tax and transaction services with over 40,000 professionals across
30 countries, to meet its client’s demands effectively.

Although subject to change, your duties would primarily comprise of solving


several day-to-day tax related disputes and grievances, filing returns and
advising a range of clients, from wealthy individuals, organisations with
entrepreneurial start-ups, to major multinationals. You will interact with them
and help the firm to manage risks and capitalise on opportunities in the
market.

Responsibilities:
• Assessor-and-adviser to wide number of the firm’s clients all over the globe.
The job would be to Evaluate and estimate the nature, quality, ability, extent,
or significance of the firm’s client’s income and wealth, for the taxation
purposes;

• Transaction tax (sales/use, business & occupation, gross receipts, and


property tax) returns for monthly, quarterly and annual filings;

• Researching transaction tax issues;

• Interpreting and complying with state, local and international statutes,


regulations, and legislation;
• Preparing for, and assisting with, transaction tax audits.

• Preparing and/or reviewing indirect tax filings for retailers and related
companies;

• Providing guidance based on research of transaction tax laws and regulations;

• Assisting with the reconciliation of transaction tax;

• Developing and implementing process improvements;

Job Specification:
This position requires an ability to work independently in a fast-paced,
dynamic environment where attention to detail, analytical skills and strong
communication skills are essential.

• Minimum Bachelor's degree with a specialisation in finance or


Qualification accounting;
• Experience 0 – 5 years in accounting or transaction tax (fresher can
apply);
• Skills sets Strong computer technical skills - MS Excel;
Strong organizational skills & attention to detail;
Strong communication skills - both oral and written;
Team-player, customer-centric attitude;
