INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARK rose, recovering from nearly 2- 1/2-week lows hit in the previous session, as hopes the US Fed Reserve would keep its stimulus measures boosted exporters such as Infosys and other blue chips.

Zee Entertainment Enterprises moved higher by nearly 6% ahead of its entry into the 50-share CNX Nifty index from tomorrow.

U.S. stocks market rose after the Federal Reserve said it would likely close its bond-buying program in October but stressed benchmark interest rates would remain low for some time afterwards to ensure the economy continues to strengthen. BHEL bagged contract for setting up a supercritical thermal power project on EPC basis from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation. The contract, won by BHEL against international competitive bidding, is valued at around Rs 3,536 crore and is for setting up a 1x800 MW coal-fired supercritical thermal unit at Wanakbori in Kheda district of Gujarat.

Hero MotoCorp zooms 6% on capex plan
Shares of Hero Moto Corp moved higher by 6%, after the company said it would set up an ultra-modern manufacturing facility with a capacity to produce 1.8 million units annually in Andhra Pradesh. The plant with an investment of Rs1,600 crore approx will have a production capacity of around 1.8 million per annum.
