The Claremont Community Foundation (CCF) seeks a half-time
Executive Director to provide dynamic leadership and to build
upon the successes of CCF's first 25 years. This executive will in-
crease philanthropic support from individuals, foundations and
businesses; strengthen outreach efforts to prospective donors;
enhance CCFs reputation and mission locally and in neighboring
cities; develop CCFs strategic direction, in consultation with the
board of directors; establish initiatives to fulfill its mission; safe-
guard its financial health; ensure its compliance with best prac-
tices of community foundations; and increase its visibility and
prominence. This executive will also direct CCFs major events
and annual fund drive that yield income for grants to community
non-profit organizations; manage CCFs finances, working closely
with the president and board; and supervise a half-time adminis-
trative assistant. Required Qualifications: Minimum five years of
experience in a non-profit organization and strong record of suc-
cess in fundraising and membership development. Demonstrated
ability to provide strong leadership, vision and strategic direction.
Experience working effectively with boards and developing and
implementing strategic plans. Excellent writing and public speak-
ing. Requires a baccalaureate degree and relevant experience.
Candidates should have passion for philanthropy and commu-
nity. A strong preference will be given to individuals with commu-
nity foundation experience. Salary is commensurate with
experience. Although the position will be half-time initially, CCF
anticipates the possibility of additional hours in the future. Please
