Preschool Teacher. In this position I have implemented a monthly curriculum
with daily activities for four preschool age groups. I was responsible for
supervising and engaging preschool children in daily planned activities. I
communicate activities and daily events with parents in various ways; I create
a monthly preschool newsletter to parents, host holiday and social events, and
make home and phone visits so that parents are able to bring up questions or
concerns about their child.

*Payroll Administrator. I was responsible for processing bi-weekly, and monthly
payroll for over 300 employees and the company’s three other subsidiaries. I audited
payroll records and maintained dual control with the Human Resources Manager. I
attended committee meetings where I was responsible for analyzing and streamlining
payroll and departmental process flows. I also received training for this quality
control tool titled, Continuous Process Improvement. I was also responsible for
updating payroll related items on our intranet site, updates to Abra (HR employee
database), and Abra customized reports for management. Further responsibilities
included the administration of the Stakeholders Model (Employee Bonus
Configuration Spreadsheet), Benefit Statements, and completion of salary surveys
throughout the year. This was a fast-paced department, which required me to have a
flexible, multi-tasking schedule. I learned to handle stress, conflicting priorities and
deadline pressures.

United States Marine Corps Oct 1993 – Oct 1997

Stationed in Twentynine Palms from (1994-1996) I worked as an
administrative section chief in charge of auditing payroll discrepancies for
over 700 employees individual pay accounts. Other responsibilities were data
input, and training of new personnel.
Stationed in Okinawa Japan from (1996-1997) I worked as an
administrative assistant and I also managed a classified material vault. Some
of my duties involved expediting communication between upper level
management and general personnel. I had dealt with internal control issues,
diagnosed causes, and made corrective actions. Daily I produced staffing
reports, pay discrepancy reports, and purchasing inventory reports.
