Money is the root of all evil. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reason examples to support your answer.
I agree with the notion that money is always said to be the root of all evil. First of all, let we take a look at the definition of money. Money is any item or verifiable record that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts in a particular country or socio-economic context. In my opinion, this medium has always been misused. Money is said to be the root of all evil because man has always been misusing it even though they know for a fact that money is just the medium of exchange. It does not possess a brain to think or to work in the malicious way. But that thought of the human which is the main cause in making money as an evil tool for their own evil purpose. Many takes a darker road in order to make a quick buck or two and this action in many ways hurt another person. For example, we take a look at drug dealers. They are willing to commit the sin of destroying others life just for the sake of making quick money. When we take a journey back through time, we can see that men have lived without money. It wasnt a necessity back then. Man could live without money. But in the present day, the sole thought of money is everything which is causing all sorts of havoc among people. They think that money can buy anything and they are willing to do anything just to gain some. These kind of thoughts is the main cause for all the problems. In other words, we have become slaves to the dictator known as money. One can also inflict self-damage in the process of searching money. Stress is caused by money. The stress of paying bills, buying necessities, buying wants, even the work behind making it, is stress. You believe that it's just an emotional problem, you ignore it and keep working to keep not only you but also your company afloat. You don't even realize its effects. Stress doesn't just cause gray hairs, but also emotional instability, heart issues, panic attacks, insomnia and slowly wears down your body not only physically but mentally. Eventually stress, like money, leads you to become a different person. In a nutshell, its not the money itself that is evil, rather the lust for money of mankind which is the root of all evil. I am grateful for the grace of God; at last I completed the coursework of English Language Proficiency which was given to me. In the process of completing this work, a lot of guidance and lessons were learnt. While completing this assignment, I gained a lot of knowledge about how to write the essay. This is important for a future teacher like me. When doing this coursework, I obtained some input which the assignment title gives useful info about so many things. I knew about writing an essay better after completing this coursework. In addition, I face lots of challenges and obstacles while doing this assignment. However, I will not turn be demotivated in facing the challenges in the future. I will make every single challenge and obstacle as a guideline for me so that the coursework will be carried out smoothly. As a result, I realized that to move towards a success, we must sacrifice a lot to achieve it. While doing this coursework, I realized that there are so many advantages and weaknesses to make it a success. The advantages during completing this coursework is it makes me realize that to achieve success is not easy and requires a great sacrifice of time, energy and money. This coursework also teaches me to face challenges patiently. Moreover, it also enhances the strong relationship between the training teachers with the lecturers via the instruction given. This happens indirectly when I have collaboration with the lecturers. I knew the lecturers better in these situations. Furthermore, lecturers who do not teach me become closer too when dealing with the coursework. On the other hand, I am not spared from facing weaknesses during the completion of this task. At first, there are difficulties to start the assignment. This is because the lack of understanding of the requirements of the questions. To overcome these problems, I met my English lecturer, Mr.S.Ramesh for more detailed information. In addition, problems such as overlapping or clashing with a lot of other coursework, time management and the lack of references is indeed to be a part of life in the teacher training institutes. I am also busy with co-curricular activities and other institution activities. However, the problems were tackled with lots of patience and spirit with the time allocated to hand in the coursework. The main conclusion that can be drawn is during the process of completing this coursework, I knew the meaning of patience, perseverance and determination. I also realized that knowledge will not come easy itself but rather than we should try to get it. Lastly, I really thank God and extend my heartiest gratitude to the lecturers and friends who willingly cooperated and gave me brilliant ideas during the process of completing this coursework.
REFLECTION (FORUM)
The coursework required me to come out with a forum on any current educational or social issues. My friends and I made our mind in choosing our topic which is about Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR). I encountered many challenges as I did not have any experience and knowledge in participating in a forum before. I could not find points based on my role as a moderator of this forum since it was too specific. I had to google and do some research in the library regarding the matter. By gods grace, I found a lot of information on KSSR in the public library. Besides that, I was feeling terrified when it was my turn to speak out during the forum. But I had to hide my feelings and let out my opinions clearly to everyone without delaying or murmuring with a clear voice. By doing this forum, I got to know about the role of a moderator and about the system of KSSR. I have learned that my lecturers are working hard to educate our naive brains through this meticulous but meaningful coursework. In addition, I have also developed a closer relationship with my classmates for helping me out to gather information related to my topic. I have also learned that as a future teacher we have to take care of those natural habitats since we are granted with the ability of thinking and stop destroying what belongs to them. In conclusion, if I had the chance to redo this forum, I will make it better by using all my time wisely and explain my points slowly and calmly without rushing and being nervous. Last but not least, I would like to thank my lecturer Mister S.Ramesh who explained a lot about the needs of the coursework. My gratitude is also extended to my friends and family who have given me a lot of inspiring words that really encouraged me to do my job at the exact time and hand over the assignment before the due date.
Thank you.
