Eligibility conditions for the Scholarship as follows:

Eligibility: -

1. Fi nanci al assi stance wi l l be avai l abl e to Indi an students wi th at l east 40% di sabi l i ti es certi fi ed as per defi ni ti on under Persons wi th Di sabi l i ti es Act 1995.

2. Fi nanci al assi stance wi l l be gi ven for pursui ng post-Matri c/Post-Secondary techni cal and professi onal courses i ncl udi ng Ph.D & M.Phi l from recogni zed i nsti tuti ons.
However, for students wi th di sabi l i ti es of Cerebral Pal sy, Mental Retardati on, Mul ti pl e Di sabi l i ti es, and Profound or Severe Heari ng Impai red, the mi ni mum educati onal
qual i fi cati on wi l l be cl ass VIII pass and schol arshi p wi l l be awarded to them for pursui ng general , techni cal , vocati onal or professi onal courses.

3. Schol arshi p wi l l be awarded to one student for pursui ng onl y one course.

4. Financial assistance can be given for computer with editing software for blind/ deaf graduate and postgraduate students
pursuing professional courses and for support access software for cerebral palsied students.

5. Conti nuati on/ renewal of the award for next year wi l l depend on successful l y compl eti ng the course i n the precedi ng year wi th mi ni mum 45 (forty fi fty) percent marks for
professi onal courses and 40% for other courses.

6. The Assistance under this Scheme is not intended for Post-Matric/Post Secondary Technical/Professional courses having
duration of less than one year.
7. A schol arshi p hol der under thi s scheme wi l l not concurrentl y hol d any other schol arshi p/sti pend. If al ready any other schol arshi p/sti pend awarded, the student i s
requi red to exerci se hi s/her opti on for choosi ng the schol arshi p that he/she proposes to avai l and i nform awardi ng authori ty about the same.

8. Monthl y fami l y i ncome of the benefi ci ary shoul d not be more than Rs. 15,000/- from al l sources. Fami l y i ncome i ncl udes i ncome of the parent/guardi an.

Upto fi ve hundred awards are to be gi ven annual l y through i nsti tuti ons i n whi ch students are pursui ng studi es/courses. Schol arshi p wi l l be gi ven to di fferent categori es of

The students will also be reimbursed the course fee subject to a ceiling of Rs.10,000/- per year.
Besides students living in the hostel/residential facility provided by the institutions, those students will also be considered as
hostellers who live in accommodation hired at least by a group of 3 students living together with common mess
arrangement. Such students will have to furnish a certificate in this regard countersigned by the head of the institution and a
certificate from the owner of the house in case of own arrangement or accommodation taken on rent.

Iv. Appl i cati ons for the schol arshi p i s requi red to be submi tted i n as per the prescri bed proforma (Annexure 'A'). Appl i cati ons for renewal /conti nuati on of award are to be
submi tted i n the prescri bed proforma as per (Annexure 'B'). No other proforma i s to be adopted for maki ng the appl i cati on. The last date for receipt of application for new
cases as well as renewal/continuation is 20th Sept, 2014.
