GOAL: Identify three (3) most common infectious diseases in Toronto and Greater Toronto Area including the most common causes, symptoms, treatments and prevention. I will complete this by July 20, 2014.
ACTIVITIES: Review College of Nurses of Ontario Practice Standard: Infection Prevention and Control Review College of Nurses of Ontario Practice Standard: Professional Standards Review College of Nurses of Ontario Practice Guideline: Influenza Vaccinations Review College of Nurses of Ontario Practice Guideline: Preparing for Influenza Pandemic Identify at least one (1) prevalent infectious disease in commonly transmitted from: a. Direct contact Transmission b. Droplet Transmission c. Airborne Transmission Complete Online Learning Courses and/or modules on Infection Control from Public Health Website Attend Seminars related to Infectious diseases Read and Analyze Public Health Library Documents pertaining to statistics of Infectious Diseases and its prevalence. Read and Analyzed Public Health Documents pertaining to steps and guidelines to contain and prevent infectious diseases in Toronto Area and Greater Toronto Area.
