The farm was founded by Gilbert Commanda 8 years
ago. Gil has 20 years equestrian experience and is able to
provide exceptional riding instructions and horse training.
Before making his vision come true for the farm, he was
an RN for over 25 years. He continues to use his medical
skills at the farm to heal horses, and people with horses
through hippo-therapy.

As mentioned above, Gil continues to use his medical
skills at the farm to help heal horses and people with these
horses. His farm is a sanctuary and refuge for horses and
people. Most of the animals are rescue animals that GIl
has healed and retrained for their new jobs as lesson ani-
mals. By default, Gil uses his unique background in medi-
cine and horses to perform hippo-therapy for many chil-
dren with behavior and physical disabilities. He has worked
with children with ADD, ADHD and other disabilities. No
one misses out on the fun at this farm.

FREE MONTHLY DINNER- The next free Community Dinner will be held on Saturday, Sep-
tember 27th, from noon to 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Cambridge. This months menu
features chicken and biscuits with cranberry sauce, carrots, ole slaw, dessert and beverages. St.
Lukes Episcopal Church in Cambridge is providing this months meal. Reservations are not neces-
sary. Doors will open promptly at 11:30 a.m. Take-outs are available after 1:00 p.m. only for those
unable to attend, and only after all those attending have been fed. No second meal take-outs will be
provided. ALL ARE WELCOME. These continuing monthly dinners are intended to provide a home-
cooked hot meal for those living alone, those perhaps wishing a little company, or those who simply
enjoy sharing an occasional meal out of the home with friends. Hosted by First Baptist Church with
the assistance of eight other community churches and organizations, the meals have been a blessing
for up to 250 people per meal. First Baptist Church is located at 29 West Main St. between Cam-
bridge Village Market and Glens Falls Bank. The church is handicap accessible. If there are ques-
tions or the possibility of cancellation due to weather, or if your organization or group would like to

year will be the inclusion of names from Saratoga and Washington Counties. This will be an ongoing
