Nur Syuhaddah bt Abu Hassan Ashaari Seri puteri science secondary school, Malaysia. 1. Introduction
Solar energy is one of the renewable energy if green energy which can be replenished. With the publics increasing desire for more efficient, affordable and money-saving technology, we seek sources of energy that have a lower environmental impact. Hot plate is a portable self-contained electric heating elements to substitute the burners from cook top of kitchen stove. However, this appliance is not efficient enough as it uses non-renewable energy that will be depleted in the future. Alternatively, a solar hot plate will not only conserve energy but also reduce our living cost through harvesting energy from the sun. 2. Contents 2.1 The purpose of the research In our country and in other developing countries, the use of firewood as combustible for cooking has contributed to deforestation of large zones .Therefore , the writer interested to find out other solution which is suitable for outdoor activity such as camping and picnic and no need to bring the gas cylinder. Other than that, it is economic, eco-friendly and innovative . Method of the research The research was conducted in Seri Puteri Science Secondary School. It contains solar panel ,solar stand ,rechargeable battery, heating plate and panel box.The procedures are as follows: Prepared the solar panel. Firstly, we insert the 12V battery into the battery holder. then we Joint the parts of the heating plate and lastly we connect the solar panel wire to the heating plate wire.
. 4. Result of the experiment
5. Conclusion According to our results, the mini solar hot plate can be used to support the implementation of the future cooking appliances.Using sustainable energy resource that are eco-friendly, it can be charged using solar energy. The mini solar hot plate also meet the requirement of its users as it can be used anytime or anywhere during the presence or absence of sunlight. 5.1 Suggestion There are several suggestions for this research: to create a small, portable and lighter renewable cooking appliance using dry cells instead of battery accumulator, storing higher energy voltage.
