INTRODUCTION
Science workbook is an adjunct to science tent book. For effective learning pupils
should have opportunities for practicing what they have learned. Pupils work book,
infarct a practice material for pupils, the content of which is arranged in the order so the
tent book on which it is based. A work book contains summary of each chapter of the
tent book, exercises of different kinds, key to exercises and suggestions for practicals
assignments and improvisation.
Advantages
1. Work book supplements classroom learning .
2. It promotes self learning and self- assessment
3. It provides for working out different types of assignments.
4. It gives practice of classroom learning and thereby reinforces learning
5. It promotes scientific thinking.

agriculture, how can we make the maximum utilization of the land, how can we lower the
cost of production, Agriculture is not only the growing of plants alone but also the
production of animals useful to human beings etc.
There are so many issues that prevent agriculture from becoming profitable.
Mined farming, hybridization, tissue culture, different hybrid varieties,
agricultural research institutes, the use of different types of fertilizes, manure yielding
microbes, integrated farming etc are helpful for improve croproduction and we can make
the agriculture profitable.
The diseases and pests prevent agriculture from becoming profitable, different
methods of pest control better marketing and procurement facilities and the hints for
making a vegetable gardens given in the table are also included in this chapter.
