Instrumentation - from ow meters to pressure gauges
and everything in between - plays an integral role in
many work places. Do you know the whys and hows
behind the equipment? If not, this course may be for
you! It will present an introduction to the fundamentals of
instrumentation, including vocabulary and nomenclature.
Specic topics include: basic formulae, conversion,
and calculations, pressure and velocity, measuring and
transmitting devices, proper equipment usage and safety
A great introduction or refresher!
Remember: the TCH deadline is September 30, 2015.

and interpreting electrical prints and diagrams. A great

Proactive maintenance and a thorough understanding of the
inner workings of a pump can save time and increase the

pump head calculations and performance curves.

operation of these important pieces of electrical equipment.

equipment, troubleshooting problems and maintenance
issues, other types of emergency power supplies.

This course will present the theory of control operation and the proper techniques for diagramming control circuits. Once you are
familiar with the basic circuit, you will be shown how to apply the same theories to more complex systems to quickly troubleshoot
and repair equipment. Topics will include: basic control circuit and holding circuit wiring, permissive circuits and light indication
wiring, time interface circuits, electrical interlock interfacing circuits and timers.
