p.m. This event is for our entire
church family.


THOUGHTS FROM BRAD
I want to encourage everyone to join us this Friday
night for a great time of laughter. I guarantee Tim
Hawkins will tickle your funny bone or well give
you your money back. Oh wait, its a free event.
Anyway, we hope you come join us at 7 p.m. We
will provide the popcorn and drinks. While you are
at it, why not invite a friend who has been going
through a rough patch. Laughter is great medicine.

If you currently do not have a class during our
Adult Bible Fellowship on Sunday morning, you are
welcome to attend my new study on the Book of
Ecclesiastes. We start at 9:15 a.m.

Today we are in week three of our BOLD sermon
series. Prepare to be challenged to be Bold in your
Speech. Maybe I should clarify that! Ill be sure to
do that during this mornings message.

We have been beating a drum around here for a
while now about the need for members to see
themselves as ministry partners. Membership has
a sound of what are you going to do for me next.
Instead we want you to use your God given gift to
bless others. How do your see yourself serving here
at Fifth? Everyone can do something! Give me a
call. Im sure we can find a place for you to serve
in the near future. Can we depend on you, to
depend on God, to help you serve in some new
way? I sure hope so!

Let me remind all those who oversee ministries at
the church that you will need to turn in budget
requests very soon. If you have not already
thought through your plans for 2015, please do so
immediately. As we always seek to be good
stewards, please consider ways of trimming excess
from your ministry budget.

Final thought: He that cannot forgive others
breaks the bridge over which he must pass himself;
for every man has need to be forgiven.

BITS FROM BRO. DAVE

KEENAGERS IN OCTOBER: Thursday,
October 16, is the date for our trip to
Amish Country and the David Warther
Museum. David Warther is a skilled
craftsman following in the footsteps of his
very talented father and grandfather.
Davids specialty is the carving of
miniature ships, from ancient to more
modern. A feature article, on his work,
appeared in the September 14 issue of
Country Living. After our museum tour,
we will have lunch at the Dutch Valley
Restaurant and visit our favorite cheese
shops in the afternoon. The cost, for travel
and museum admission will be $15 per
person. We will depart at 7:30 am and
return in late afternoon. A sign-up sheet is
posted. Payment is due at signup.

MIDWEEK BIBLE STUDIES: Each
Wednesday, our morning group meets at
10:00 am and the evening session is at
6:30. I invite any who are interested to join
us for our current Brief Survey Of Old
Testament History. Study outlines are
available. It is not too late to join either of
the groups. (This week we continued our
examination of the creation and the flood.)

FUTURE EVENTS: In November, I am
encouraging all of our seniors to
participate in our churchs annual
Thanksgiving dinner, on November 16.
Our friend, Tom Shelton, will be providing
entertainment. On December 11, we are
planning a special catered lunch for our
Keenagers and friends.

FINAL THOUGHT: To handle yourself,

Delores Payne will be teaching a class on how
to make a crocheted or knitted sky cap.
Anyone interested in participating in this project
will need to bring 1 skein of Red Heart
variegated worsted weight yarn, a size 6 14-
inch knitting needle or a size G or H crochet
hook, and a yarn needle to sew a seam. The
sky cap is a simple tube shape with a bit of
decrease at the crown. The variegated color
makes a very interesting pattern.

If you do not wish to make the sky cap, please
bring any craft you are already working on and
spend the morning in fellowship with other
crafters!

How Can I Respond Today?
At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all
issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear
concerning what a person must do to become a
Christian.
Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation.
Turn (repent) from the sin in your life.
Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord
of your life.
Be baptized (immersed) in water for the
forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy
Spirit into your life.
To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you
come forward during our commitment song at the
conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers
are welcome to become members at FACC by coming
forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior
Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you
complete a series of Curious classes to help you
better understand what you are committing to as a
