Vice Chair Workforce Development Committee Albany, September 17, 2014: Baldwin General Contracting, Inc. today announced Yohn Baldwin was appointed to a leadership role in the Oregon - Columbia AGC Chapter. The Oregon - Columbia AGC Chapter mission is to serve the nations construction professionals by promoting the skill, integrity and responsibility of those who build America. As Vice Chair of the Workforce and Professional Development committee, Yohn Baldwin will be tasked to work with the committee to address one of the most challenging issues general contracting faces, the need for skilled labor in the construction industry. The Workforce and Professional Development Committee was created in 2009 to develop and carry out the workforce and professional development strategic objectives of the chapter. Yohn Baldwin also serves on the Oregon Columbia AGC Board of Directors. Committee appointees discuss and review the chapters needs to develop various education programs, recruitment efforts, and public relations and marketing messages that target the construction workforce. The committee also exercises budget and program oversight to chapter workforce initiatives. The Oregon Columbia AGC Chapter is one of 95 AGC chapters established in the US.
