Content Analysis : The Story Teller is a short story written by Hector Hugh Munro (Saki). He
is also known as Saki. The story is about three children , their aunt and a bachelor. This short story
focuses on the art of storytelling because two different stories come within the main story. In the 1
st
part aunt and three children are travelling in a train. A bachelor sits opposite to them. Aunt always says
dont , to the children. And children always ask why to the aunt. Aunt began to tell story to them.

The teacher reads the first three paragraphs of
the story with proper stress, intonation , pronunciation
and in meaningful units. The theme and the necessary
details are also forwarded to the students.

The students are asked to read paragraphs
1,2,3 individually and silently and they are also
asked to mark accordingly ie., they have to put tick
( ) mark for what they have understood and a

and an exclamation mark for what they found

scaffolding questions.
