TEXT Call to Order Pres Laborte declared the meeting as quorum. The meeting started with a prayer led by Ms Paglinawan from the Department of Student Leadership and Development.
Review and Approval of the Previous Minutes In behalf of Sec Tecson, Sec Neri presented the minutes of the previous meeting held last 22 August. He noted some corrections and grammatical errors raised by the members of the Cabinet. The corrections and concerns on the previous minutes are as follows: o Include Mr and Ms Colin Torres of Fortune General Insurance Corporation in the roster of attendees; o Line 27: Sec Banuag was present during the ninth Cabinet meeting; o Line 78: Delete the word some; o Line 82: Change the first that to the; o Include the stand of the secretaries during the issue discussion on the Freedom of Information Bill. After considering the abovementioned changes, the Cabinet, then, unanimously approved the previous minutes.
New Xavier Citation Styles for Academic Papers Sec Dapanas presented the proposed Xavier Citation Styles for Academic Papers. He clarified that the said citation styles are not yet effective for implementation, yet the university will conduct a pilot testing of such citation styles on the course syllabi distributed to students at the beginning of each semester. The proposed Xavier Citation Style will build the universitys identity and fulfill its mission as a research-oriented institution, and shall be used across all academic disciplines. Some of the Cabinet members expressed positive comments about the proposed citation styles. It presents a detailed and relevant information on the references used to come up an academic paper. Moreover, it asserts the thrust of the university to become a leading ASEAN university in 2033, as expressed in the revised vision of the academic institution.
Profit Share from Le Maste Congress Pres Laborte mentioned that a profit share of Php 5,000.00 was given by Tuxedo Institute of the Philippines. The body decided that an amount of Php 2,500.00 will be spent for Le Maste evaluation session with the congress organizers from XU-CSG, while the rest of the amount will be added to the XU-CSG Midyear Evaluation and Outing fund. ASec Mael Jashyn Alvarez from the Department of Internal Administration, and a congress organizer of Le Maste, was voted as project head of the Le Maste evaluation session.
Insurance Commission (XUCPFA Case) In behalf of Sec Banuag, Pres Laborte reported updates on the Fortune Insurance Commission case. With the close coordination of Mr Angelico Vallar from the XU Finance Office, financial records showed that three sets of annual insurance commissions turned over by XUCPFA to XU- CSG were not deposited or remitted in the XU Finance Office account of the student government.
Room 205, 2/F Student Center Building, Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, Corrales Ave., Cagayan de Oro City 9000 Email: csg@my.xu.edu.ph | Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/CSG.XU | Contact Number: (08822) 72-3116 or (088) 858-3116 local 3305 OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE SECRETARY o The 2007 insurance commission was released by XUCPFA through a check named under the XU-CSG President then. Based on the copy of the acknowledgment receipt kept by XUCPFA, the check was received by the 2007 XU-CSG President. The amount received was not deposited in the XU-CSG account at the Finance Office. o The insurance commission in any of the inclusive years (2008-2009) was received by an unidentified person. No document will show as to whom the check was named and released. Based on the copy of the acknowledgment receipts kept by XUCPFA for the insurance commissions released in any of the inclusive years, only the signature specimen is present on the financial document. o XUCPFA insisted that the 2013 insurance commission was released to XU-CSG. Yet, no single document can show that the insurance commission was turned over to any of the XU-CSG officers and staff during the immediate past administration. Before filing administrative or court cases, Sec Neri suggested that interrogations between the current XU-CSG DBF and the 2007 XU-CSG President must be conducted. Further investigations and scrutiny must be conducted to the second case. As to the 2013 case, it was unanimously agreed that records or documents must be secured or demanded by DBF in order to prove that the commission was, indeed, released by XUCPFA.
Guidelines for Project Collaboration with Non-XU Entities (2nd Discussion) Due to the absence of the primary author, this agendum was skipped and will be discussed during the next cabinet meeting. A special session will be facilitated by Sec Tecson to gather salient points on the content of the guidelines.

DIA will take charge in the ID and lanyard printing of the Cabinet members as soon as the five names mentioned above will pay the amount.
DIA Alternative Volunteer Development Project Sec Mapano expressed alternative volunteer development projects such as popcorn night. But then, it was decided by the Cabinet that the budget allocated for the volunteer development project will be allotted for the midyear evaluation.
DSI Concern With the recent expression of Sec Hollanes to resign from his post as DSI Secretary for valid reasons, Pres Laborte solicited nominees for the position.
