1. Salutations to Guru I am awakened light

Guru Brahma Guru Vishnur Guru Dayvo Mahayshwaraha

I am the creative force, I am the force that sustains, and I am the dissolving force.
I am the witness, supreme existence.
I bow down in recognition of the Knower of the eternal, unborn, undying, indestructible
state of consciousness.

3. NIRVAAN ASHTAKAM I am freedom

A traditional Stotrum (Sanskrit hymn) describing the varied aspects of the human
existence that describe our limited qualities mind, body, ego, senses, the 5 elements.
And the attributes of the human experience liking, disliking, greed, pride, jealousy,
sense of duty, righteousness or sin.
The refrain, Chid aanand roopa, Shivo hum Shivo hum means: I am not limited by
these attributes, rather, my true and eternal nature is Shiv, the nature of knowing bliss.

Salutations to Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu and to our original source, Mother Creatrix.
(Param Ishwaree). The Beej (seed) mantra in praise of each Devi is sung to evoke the
subtle guna (energetic quality) of each aspect of manifestation; Durga Satwa
(stillness), Laxmi rajas (movement), Kaali tamas (inertia). The beej mantra of Durga
is Doon, of Laxmi is Shreen and of Kaal is Kreen.

depatay rakhilam madhuram says: Our true nature is blessed, so, please keep
knowing your satwic (refined) blessed nature in all that you think and do in life.

7. MAHADEV STUTI I am the union of opposites

In praise of Maha Dev, the greatest and highest awareness, Lord Shiv. You adorn your
head with the half moon, representing the coolness and calmness of your being.
You are the doubtless one, forever established, Maha-Shiv. From your flowing hair, the
source of the Ganga flows. You live on mount Kelash with Paravati in perfect unity of
the male and female aspects the union of opposites. No one can compare with you,
for you are the unborn, undying reality, which is bliss.

8. GAYATRI MANTRA - I meditate on enlightenment

The mantra of purification.
OM Space. The ultimate Source of all.
Bhur Self existent, without beginning or end. Praan, life-force, breath.
Bhuwah Absolute consciousness that governs the universe. Sky consciousness.
Swah All pervading nature of the divine. Bliss consciousness.
Tat that
Savitur The source of all things. Shakti (power) that enables the discernment of right
from wrong, vice from virtue. Through this shakti, we are gain the self-guiding ability.
Varenyam Acceptance of our original source as our true nature.
Bhargo Divine glorious light, love and power.
Devasya The individual qualities of the Divine Being.
Dhimahi To meditate on our true nature, pure existence, pure consciousness.
Dhiyo Having established Divine consciousness in our heart, emphasize that eternal
presence and influence on our mind and intellect.
Yo Who - to our highest Self we offer this prayer.
Nah Our - signifying selflessness.
Prachodayat To seek guidance and inspiration, that Self effulgent light may remove
darkness of Maya (illusion) and we are able to see the way through the chaos of the
world and to find tranquillity and peace, the root of happiness and the source of true
bliss.
