The ADMS provides 3-line digital dis-
play of Voltage, Current, Fre quency, and
Power Measurements. The large 0.56
[14.2 mm] extra bright LEDs allow the
user to clearly monitor the meter display
under any condition, 24/7. The meter
faceplate has an optical IrDA port for
data transfer and comes complete with
a separately supplied IrDA/USB adapter.
The Communicator EXT Data Logging
Software, Operating Instructions, and
IrDA drivers are provided on CD-ROMs.
Communicator EXT software provides
Real-Time Monitor ing and Data Acquisi-
tion from customer PC or PDA. Meter
pa ram eters are captured from the optical
IrDA port and downloaded to your PC or
PDA with the IrDA/USB supplied adapter.

Data can

and saved to your computer which can
be easily imported into a Windows
spreadsheet. An additional RS485 com-
munication port is also included.
With faceplate, PC, or PDA monitoring,
this rugged metering system is designed
to save both time and money. It virtually
eliminates the need to manually record
load bank values during a load test. So

The Avtron ADMS is a multi-function digital power meter.
The Avtron ADMS represents the
standard in Load Bank instrumenta-
tion. The system allows Real-Time
Data Acquisition and Data Logging
from a laptop PC or PDA.
The ADMS features an optical IrDA
port for data transfer. The IrDA/USB
adapter provides plug and play con-
venience, eliminating the need for
cumbersome RS232-422 adapters.
The ADMS meter is provided as a
standard feature on most Avtron
Portable Load Banks, and as an
option for many other models.

The Patriot Load Bank is ideal for
routine load testing of standby diesel
generating systems at remote sites
or for factory production line testing
of (UPS) Uninterruptible Power Sup-
plies, turbines, or engine generator
sets. This model provides resistive
loading up to 700 KW at 240/480 Volts
AC in a convenient and easy-to-use
package.
This load bank features vertical air
discharge and a narrow width to
fit through standard doorways and
freight elevators. This unit is simple to
set up and operate by a single techni-
cian, saving valuable time in the field.
An optional control power transformer
is also available for sites where 120
VAC power is not readily available.
The Patriot Load Bank features the
new standard in Digital Metering
which includes the Avtron Advanced
Digital Monitoring System (ADMS).
The ADMS meter provides faceplate
digital display of Volts, Amps, Fre-
quency, and KW. The Communicator
EXT Data Logging Software allows
Real Time Data Acquisition and trend-
ing of all meter parameters from your
Laptop PC or PDA. An Infrared/USB
interface cable is included for Plug
and Play convenience.
This unit incorporates state-of-the-art
design features, including a heavy
gauge aluminized steel enclosure,
continuously supported resistor ele-
ments on stainless steel rods, and an
industrial blower.

SPECIFICATIONS:
CONSTRUCTION: A rugged aluminized steel enclosure with
hinged front doors for easy access and quick connections.
Two fixed and two lockable swivel casters provide mobility.
Forklift channels provided for simplified handling.
CONTROL POWER: The Patriot Load Bank requires control
power of 120 VAC, single phase, 60 Hz (control transformer
optional).
COOLING: The resistive elements are air cooled by an
integrally mounted 3 phase blower, switch selectable for
external source or from source under test. No additional
cooling period is required when load is removed.
CONTROLS: The operator control panel
includes a MASTER LOAD ON-OFF
switch, load step ON-OFF industrial
toggle switches, BLOWER ON-OFF
push buttons with a BLOWER FAILURE
light, and BLOWER and LOAD VOLT-
AGE selector switches.
DIGITAL METERING: Avtron Advanced
Digital Monitoring System (ADMS) is
provided for display of Volts, Amps, Fre-
quency, and KW. ADMS also includes
Communicator EXT Data Logging Software.
SAFETY CIRCUITS: The Patriot Load Bank features branch
circuit fusing, wrong voltage protection, (dual voltage units
only), motor overload protection, overtemperature protec-
tion, and cooling air loss protection.
