Case Study

You are appointed to be a Team Leader of Guinness, a popular Irish dry stout.
Your scope of work is to manage 10 PS (promotional staff) and working at 30 beer gardens in
HCM (or Hanoi) in order to promote this stout over other international beers ie. Heineken, Tiger
beer, Sapporo
Your job is to supervise 10 PS to work efficient at 30 beer gardens outlets to deliver 1,200 cans
of Guinness in 1 month. To do that job, we need you:
1. To develop a plan for 10 PS working at 30 beer gardens
2. To present how to supervise 10 PS daily? Whats scheme to control quality of work of 10
PS at 30 outlets?
3. To develop selling story to train PS to sell those products to win over other international
beers

- Working time for 1 PS: 6 days per week from Mon Sat
- Working time is from 5.00 11.00 pm

There are 10 PS, 30 oulets, 6 working days/week
We have 3 outlet groups. To easy to remember, we call Group 1,2,3. In particular, Group 1 (from
outlet 1 to outlet 10), Group 2 (outlet 11-20), Group 3 (outlet 21-30).
We have 10 PS and 2 PS/outlet => There are 5 PS groups: A, B, C, D, E. Every this group will
undertake 2 outlets/1day in every outlet group.

Group PS A will be in charge outlets: 1, 6, 11, 16, 21, 26.
Group PS B will be in charge outlets: 2, 7, 12, 17, 22, 27.
Group PS C will be in charge outlets: 3, 8, 13, 18, 23, 28.
Group PS D will be in charge outlets: 4, 9, 14, 19, 24, 29.
Group PS E will be in charge outlets: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30.

Combining between table 1 and table 2, we have a complete working schedule.
For example: In Tuesday of October, we will assign group PS: A for outlet 11 and 16,
B for outlet 12 and 17,
C for outlet 13 and 18,
D for outlet 14 and 19,
E for outlet 15 and 20.

Work Schedule:
2 shifts/day, shift 1: 5h-7h50 p.m, shift 2: 8h10-11h00 p.m
1 PS works in 2 shifts (5h-11h p.m)
7h50->8h10: time to move between 2 outlets.
