I am a highly professional, innovative and pro-active CAD Designer, using many years of
experience dealing with a wide range of projects to my full advantage.
Due to a well organised and positive approach to problem solving, I am accustomed to
meeting, and often exceeding, tight schedules in a pressurised environment,.

I left my job at Princess Yachts due to relocation to Poole following my wifes
recent promotion and I am currently seeking employment.
Since relocating, I have been busy with the interior design and furnishing of our
new home using CAD software to model rooms and furniture.
2004-Sept 2014 PRINCESS YACHTS DESIGN DRAUGHTSMAN
Using Lean practice to confidently deliver projects within budget and time
constraints and achieve a right first time product.
Along with my design role, I held a Lead CAD position, giving me responsibility
for overseeing and motivating a design team and managing various aspects of the
project.
My responsibilities included design of new products and liaison with the shop
floor staff to achieve workable and practical product solutions.
I was a driving force in the CAD Steering Group, bringing forward and
implementing new ideas and solutions on a regular basis.



1994-2004 AIRCRAFT MATERIALS DRAUGHTSMAN
Design and project management of many successful Military and Civil projects
bringing significantly lower manufacturing costs and reduced build times achieved
through value engineering exercises carried out on a number of products
Sole responsibility for design support and liaison with the production facility.
Sole responsibility for the administration and daily management of the CAD
systems, together with setting up and management of the design office procedures.
1991-1994 FLS LOVAUX DESIGN CONSULTANT
Design work carried out on Optica aircraft, achieving substantial weight
reductions and lower build costs.
Various MOD contracts completed on rotary and fixed wing aircraft.
Liaison with production and tooling departments.

Structural redesign of Optica aircraft leading to successful CAA Certification.
Design of parts in both glass fibre and metal.

Research, development and manufacture of structures for Airship Industries using
advanced composites techniques leading to an industry first application.
