6M70T5/T7 HEAVY DUTY ENGINE
The latest generation of 6M70 engines are available with either 475
or 535ps ratings both with 2160Nm torque.
A heavy duty version of the current 6M70T4, the new T5/T7 has a
reinforced engine block and internals, variable geometry turbo with
speed sensor, 2nd generation Common Rail fuel injection, and a
more powerful Powertard engine brake.
Fitted with cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and a Diesel
Particulate Filter mufer to ensure clean emissions and compliance
to the latest international emission standards.
2ND GENERATION COMMON RAIL SYSTEM
The new CRS optimises combustion efciency with sophisticated
functions, and optimum selection of fuel injection pressure and
injection timing.

VARIABLE GEOMETRY (VG) TURBO CHARGER
The heavy-duty VG turbo charger offers increased torque in
the low-speed range, EGR control and increased engine braking

A new built in speed sensor controls the rpm of the turbo charger to
maximise durability.
INOMAT AUTOMATED 16 SPEED TRANSMISSION
INOMAT (Intelligent & Innovative Mechanical Automatic
Transmission) is a fully automated 16 speed FUSO transmission
designed for easier driving and improved fuel consumption.
Using Fuzzy Logic the transmission adapts to the load and
the road, making decisions for you on the correct gear for the
conditions, including skip shifts when required. The manual mode
ensures you can take control when you want to. The clutch is used
for starting and slow speed manoeuvring but once underway is
automatically controlled.
