Lectura 1: OTOO

El otoo es la temporada en la que cae entre el verano y el invierno.

Hay muchos cambios que se inician en esta temporada fascinante.
Das se hacen ms cortos. Las hojas de los rboles cambian de verde a
rojo vibrante, amarillo y naranja. Los rboles necesitan luz solar para mantener
sus hojas de un verde vivo. Sin la luz solar deja colores turno.
La hierba ya no es cubierto por el roco sino por la escarcha,
casi todas las maanas, ya que las temperaturas alcancen el punto de congelacin.
Los animales comenzaron a almacenar hasta un suministro de alimentos a travs del
tiempo pasado meses de invierno. Estos cambios se producen a medida que ajustar el
calor del verano al fro del invierno.
El otoo es tradicionalmente la poca de cosecha, cuando los agricultores
reducir sus cultivos a fin de prepararlos para su almacenamiento o para vender. Una
gran cantidad de los agricultores arar sus campos en el otoo, as que les dar una
cabeza comenzar la primavera. Septiembre es tambin el momento en que los
agricultores plantan trigo de invierno. Crece hasta que se enfre y luego queda
inactiva, lo que significa que deja de crecer, hasta la primavera, cuando empieza a
crecer de nuevo.

debes elegir la oreja entera con un selector de maz normal y almacenarlo en una cuna
de maz, si se va a acaba de recoger, lo dejan en el campo ms tiempo para que se
seque. Ponen a prueba la humedad por los bombardeos del maz de la mazorca y
poner un puado en un medidor de humedad.





Reading 1: AUTUMN
Autumn is the season that falls between summer and winter.
There are many changes that begin in this fascinating season.
Days become shorter. Leaves of trees turn from green to
vibrant red, yellow and orange. Trees need sunlight to keep
their leaves a lively green. Without sunlight leaves turn colors.
The grass is no longer blanketed with dew but with frost,
almost every morning, as temperatures reach the freezing point.
Animals start storing up a food supply to last through the long
winter months. These changes occur as we adjust from the heat
of the summer to the chill of the winter.
Autumn is traditionally harvest time when the farmers would
cut their crops to prepare them for storage or to sell. A lot
of farmers plow their fields in the fall so it will give them a head
start for the spring. September is also the time that farmers plant
winter wheat. It grows until it gets cold
and then it goes dormant, which means it stops growing,
until spring when it starts growing again.
Most farm animals love corn, its store extra body fat,but it has to pick at just the right
time so the farmers can have a supply all winter long. Most corn today is picked with a
picker-sheller or a combine, both machines shell the corn off the cob and then the
farmer dumps it in a gas batch dryer which dries it to certain hardness, otherwise it will
get moldy in storage. Some farmers still just pick the whole ear with a regular corn
picker and store it in a corn crib, if they are going to just pick it, they leave it in the field
longer so it will dry. They test the moisture by shelling the corn off the cob and putting
a handful into a moisture tester.

La actriz Nicole Kidman naci en Honolulu, Hawaii, en 1967, su padre, un australiano es
un estudiante en Hawai, al mismo tiempo. Cuando ella es 4, la familia regresa a
Australia, y Kidman crece en un suburbio de Sidney. Nicole Kidman inters en actuar
desde el principio, su primera experiencia viene cuando ella tiene 6 aos y que
interpreta a una oveja en su desfile de la escuela de Navidad. Ella entrena en drama y
danza a travs de sus aos de adolescencia. Ella se pone un par de piezas de TV antes
de que haga su avance dentro de unos meses, el Australian Film Institute nombra a su
actriz del ao por el papel en sus primeros das de pelculas americanas de los
truenos. Su co-estrella es Tom Cruise. Tras un intenso romance, Kidman y Cruise se
casaron en Colorado. Durante el matrimonio, la carrera de Kidman sigue
creciendo. Ella y Tom adoptar dos nios, y trabajan duro para equilibrar su carrera y su
vida familiar. Por desgracia, el matrimonio no dura. Kidman y Cruise divorcio en
divorcio 2001.After Kidman se lanza a su obra. Ella protagoniza varias pelculas de alto

continues grows. She and Tom adopt two children, and they work hard to balance their
career and family life. Unfortunately the marriage doesn't last. Kidman and Cruise
divorce in 2001.After divorce Kidman throws herself into her work. She stars in a
number of high-profile movies including the musical Moulin Rouge. Then in 2003, she
wins both academic award and a golden globe for her role Virginia Woolf in the film
the hours. And what does she feel of her fame? "Its a fleeting moment", she has said
"how long will it last?

Estn viviendo en Los Angeles, en California. Sus padres tienen una casa en la
playa de Santa Mnica. En el verano son muy perezosos. Se levantan a las
diez de la maana y desayunar. Luego ir a nadar. Se almorzar en la
playa. Por la tarde, a menudo practicar windsurf o jugar juegos de pelota en la
playa.
Despus de la cena van y reunirse con amigos en el Caf Playa de Tommy. A
veces ir a una discoteca por la noche. A menudo van a la cama muy tarde, a
eso de las diez u once. Les gusta la vida californiano mucho.
Reading 3: DANNY AND LIANNE
DANNY AND LIANNE
They are living in Los Angeles in California. Their parents have a house on the
beach at Santa Monica. In the summer they are very lazy. They get up at ten
oclock and have breakfast. Then they go swimming. They have lunch on the
beach. In the afternoon they often go windsurfing or play ball games on the
beach.
After dinner they go and meet friends at Tommys Beach Caf. They sometimes
go to a disco in the evening. They often go to bed quite late, at about ten or
eleven oclock. They like Californian life a lot.
